This is our 2nd 300 series PAPR. I bought the larger 600 for myself before I realized the 300 was an option and I have to say, the 300 is a lot more comfortable on your belt. We don't need hours and hours of continuous use in our shop so the battery life is more than sufficient and it's certainly nice to not carry around the bigger 600. Our requirements were solely filtering out particulates so this setup was a smoking deal for a PAPR to keep our new hires lungs clear of mica and other things floating around in the air in our shop. Since I had an extra helmet already he has the option of using the soft hood that came with this or going with the helmet later. At the time I purchased this it was half the price of some of the other options as well so certainly a good deal on required safety gear!

Comparing the price of the kit from this dealer during my research with other sites resulted in the best choice / decision made.

True HEPA filter supplies cool clean air and you are in a positive pressure.I purchased the fiber hood and it is reusable with disposable clear shield protectors. J C

Battery was fully discharged on arrival and after resetting the charger a bunch of times I was able to get it to charge. The batterysays fully charged but when put in the unit the unit reports the battery is dead. Had to call Amazon and it was a pain to get a refund. Now I have to ship the unit back and reorder. The batteries for this are almost half the price of this package. I will update if the second unit performs better.

On left is the TR-300+-ECK with S-433 hood. On the right is the TR-600 with S-655 hood. Having evolved from cloth mask, to half mask respirator, to full face respirator, we settled on PAPRs (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) as final protection. The TR-300+-ECK is the little sister of the TR line of PAPRs. It is optimized for the health care industry and least expensive of the Versaflow PAPRs. The only filter available for the TR-300 is 99.97% particulate filter. It is smaller, lighter, and has the smallest battery of its big brothers, TR-600 and TR-800 (explosive atmospheres). All S and M series hoods fit the TR-300. The S-433 and S-655 hoods provide APF 1,000. That is 100 times more protection than the N95 with APF of 10. Hoods without shrouds and exposed ears such as the S-133 and S-133B provide only a APF of 25!
