Tactical LED Flashlight with 5 Modes

Fantastic light! Smallest and most powerful (for its size) light of my collection. Amazing unique method to change intensity ... a small twist starts with regular brightness, and another small twist increases to high intensity (incredibly high for its tiny size). I have never seen that method before and it really makes switching modes easy. Rather than having to turn the thing on and off fast, which is a pain. I use it as a backup light in case my primary fails or runs low on battery. Some have complained about having to switch out the head to charge, but I can see no other way to implement charging and still keep the thing so tiny. To add a permanent charger would add to the length of the flashlight. People who want the charger built-in should look for other larger models. It is amazing that it even has a charging status light that goes green when fully charged. Miniaturization at its best!

I have had many small lights and this one greatly exceeds all of them in quality, toughness, and brightness. When the light showed up however, it was missing the charging cap piece. Amazon returns worked perfectly and had me in touch with a representative from Maratec the next day. They immediately offered free shipping and refund. I sent it back and after receiving the refund, reordered the light. For whatever reason, by the time I reordered the price was already $6 higher. I was bummed I had to essentially wait longer and pay more for the light. I contacted Maratac again and explained the situation. They were very apologetic and had the $6 refund in process the next day! Not only do they make a wonderful product but their customer service is second to none. I would highly recommend this light.

Outstanding little light! Keep in mind that, due to its compact size, the lens needs to be removed and the charging module installed to charge it.In my opinion, this is NOT a drawback!! This is impressive engineering and design in order to keep it as small as possible.You won’t find a smaller flashlight out there and the modular charging design means that this thing isn’t a huge chunk you have to lug around in your pocket.Feel free to buy a larger flashlight if you want an integrated charging feature, but for me, I’m satisfied with this modular approach. I’m happy with the occasional charging once I’m back at “base camp.”

I have been collecting and using high end and custom flashlights for almost twenty years. I recently purchased the Maratac Peanut flashlight and can say it has become one of my all time favorites. I carry it every day in my watch pocket. I hardly notice it is there. I love the small size and reflector. Typically lights of this size include an optic and I much prefer a light that is reflector based. It gives a better beam profile in my opinion.I did wrap a small piece of paper around the battery to eliminate battery rattle. I love this flashlight.

This little baby is fantastic. It is a lot brighter than most hand held flashlights costing three times as much. It has a high and low beam setting that really is great for everything I do. Oh, I need to mention it has a rechargeable Lithium battery so you never have to search for replacement batteries. My main hobby is knife making and the small parts that are in a folding knife can sometimes get lost on the floor. I really appreciate how I can turn the high beam "Peanut" on and really light up all the little places that hide things I drop. This is an "American made" product that will fit on your key ring and be there many years when you need to light up the area. The Maratac Peanut LED flashlight is more expensive than its competitors; however, it is worth the cost. I have used other micro flashlights and none have compared to the build quality and brightness of the Maratac flashlight. Having to swap the front half to charge the flashlight is different from similar chargeable flashlights, but it's minor compared to the quality. I charge mine every week so I can't provide any insight on the standby time of the battery. I am impressed in the quality and would purchase another without hesitation if I lost or broke mine.

Not what I expected. Looking at the picture, I got the impression that it was a one piece flashlight you can just plug in and recharge when the battery gets low. Alas, that is not the case. In order to charge the battery, one has to unscrew the flashlight end (the led end cap) and screw on the USB cap, then plug in the USB cable to charge. Without the USB end cap, you cannot charge the battery. This extra step of swapping the end cap to charge is tedious at best and not to mention it's so easy to lose or misplace the cap because it is so small. On a side note, I must have gotten a defective unit because I can't switch between low and high beam. It just stay on high no matter what I do and the battery don't last too long on high all the time. For the price point this thing is asking for, I would expect better quality control on the product.

This is a rad little light! Very bright for it's size. And it has a pretty decent throw! But i wish the attachment for the key ring was centered. Its a bit akward.. lends itself to getting scratched more when it's attached with other items. and It would hang more comfortably from a necklace if it was centered.. in my opinion . Not a big deal tho. This is light is definitely impressive for it's size!
