Book arrived on time and in good shape. I would use this vendor again. The price was very good too.

I usually don't write in books and keep them but this one is a keeper. Thought-provoking and worth the time to analyze your leadership characteristics to get perpsective.

I’m fairly critical of business and leadership books, but I actually liked this. The exercises included are helpful in identifying areas I wouldn’t have otherwise addressed.The author makes sure to reference adequately to support claims made. While in retrospect I see most of the material is intuitive, I wouldn’t have thought in the improved way without the book. I recommend this with a few other business books as well, but none others by this author.

First off I know the author. The book is great for self-study and development and I have had great feedback from people to whom I have recommended it. It is not always necessary to start at the beginning and work forward. Some people tell me they have started part way where they think they need to reflect and then have gone to earlier parts as they discover a need. The style is very readable and makes you stop to really reflect on yourself and how you can improve by becoming the best YOU can be rather than trying to become someone else. This is not a mould but an exploration of one 's ideal self.

I picked this up after taking a course presented by Richard Boyzatis. His principles of resonant leadership and obvious love of the subject are infectious, and he enthuses those around him. The exercises and principles laid out in this book are the key to effective resonant leadership. Well worth reading.

The new management approach for the new millennia. A description of how leadership can inspire followers while being in sync with neuroscientific reality. Humans function better within a resonant enviroment. The old style of leadership generates dissonance which impedes development and stifles excellence. A resonant leaders is attuned to the environment consolidating positive forces that create synergy.

I am big fan of Daniel Goleman. I have almost all his books. With this new concept of emotional intelligence and resonant leadership, I expected to read something new, with real exercises to try my emotional reactions and improve. The content of this book is mainly what you get from coaching books : work on your values, align your goals, resonate with yourself first. Not to mention thousands of years of asian wisdom ( meditation, emotional awareness, self awareness, etc..)Well, this is true : you have to work on this first before you can even think about leading a group, so I would say this book was a wake up call to dig deep into what is there. The book actually delivers for its purpose.Though if you still have "The 7 habits of highly successful people" by Stephen Covey at hand, save money and start applying it.
