This is the best strap in harness puffer dog coat. Super secure & had no problems walking my 1yr old Sammy who is a agressive puller. Love the camo print which is super popular this year. Since he is a wiener dog my only complaint was that the coat wasn’t long enough for he’s long torso. Still doable & kept him super warm. The size large fit he’s 16 lbs stocky frame well. It’s pricey even for the quality that it provides. Would be perfect if the price is more affordable. Otherwise I still recommend if you want to spoil your dog.Dec. 2018 UPDATE: Seriously I love this puffer coat sooo much I got my Sammy two more additional colors! This is by far the best Winter Doggie coat. Super easy zip on/off plus harness makes it ideal for any dog. He’s now 17 lb, neck 12”, chest about 20” the large still fits but it’s only slightly snug. If I get the next size up it would be too loose... I’ve tried.

Okay, so this coat is rather expensive for a dog.. but it’s such a great thing to have. It is so easy to clean. The clasp on the harness portion is good and strong, she’s pulled me trying to go after a dog on the beach and it stood up to it. The zipper is well made to ensure you don’t snag any fur while you’re zipping up. I really like that it is a back zip too opposed to a stomach zipper or closure. When it was in the teens, I just layered a small shirt underneath to ensure her warmth, though just the jacket alone would probably have been fine. It’s water resistant too, which is really nice. I purchased the red and it’s a vibrant red that I adore. Use the measurement guide! I was able to order the perfect size my first try. I’m glad I waited until she was fully grown at that price though. It’s so nice not having to deal with a separate harness while she’s wearing this. We love it!

I bought these coats to help keep my little dogs warm. I love how they fit fully around their bellies. The builtin harness makes me feel good about taking them out without an additional harness. These do run small. I have a chihuahua and chiweenie. The chihuahua is a little rounder in the belly and my chiweenie is longer bodied. The small coats were just too small. The med fits perfectly! Both are about 7.5lbs. These coats are really worth the price.

I love everything about this coat but it took a while to get the right size. (That's the only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5.) The third try was the one that fit. That sizing chart from Puppia is USELESS. Based on that, I ordered a Large and the two sides didn't even come close to closing to zip it up - about a 4-5" gap! Ordered an XXL - way too big - then the XL worked. My dog is a 14 lb. Chihuahua mix. It's a little long for him, but it'll work. It's really well made with good materials and findings. the plastic snap that closes the two sides of the harness is easy to clip and unclip. Some snaps are really hard to unclip. But the things I really like is that it's bright orange so I can see my little woodland creature in the distance at the dog park running around in the brush. And that the harness is on the outside which solves that horrible problem of not being able to clip his leash on the coat when he's not wearing a harness. Works great. One other thing I like . . . the collar is split at the back of the neck - not the bottom of the neck - so he can comfortably lift his head up when he's on his mission.

My dog is a 16lb Cavalier. I had to send a size L back because it was just a tad too small. I was concerned that this one would be too large. It’s a little loose, but otherwise it fits her well. Because it’s a little loose, I was concerned that she might slip out of it on walks. It’s been a few months and so far, so good! I usually don’t take her on walks unless the temperature is above 20 degrees. I assume it keeps her nice and cozy though. We’ll walk over a mile and she still doesn’t seem to get cold.

The size large did not fit my 14# Dachshund. He has a very deep chest and we could not zip it. We returned for the XL. The XL although able to zip was too large. The built in harness was on the tightest setting and it still had alot of slack. The jacket itself shifted to the side because you couldnt tighten the harness. Although a cute product and excellent quality you could come to expect from Puppia, it did not work for our Dachshund.

I have had this fabulous coat for 4 years and it is still as perfect as it was on day one. I wash it, periodically, in the washing machine and let it air dry. I have a 12.5lb Shih Tzu and the Large fits him perfectly. He is a thin build. I have to be a little more mindful when his hair gets long so I don’t zip it in at the neck. It does have a zipper fabric guard which is very helpful. Be careful when you unzip if your boys tails is fluffy. The harness is great and adjustable. If you allow your little man to run around in the yard without a leash, as I do, the “D” rings for the leash clip will clack, clack on the plastic harness clip. It doesn’t bother me our my pup. If you have a dog who hates any sounds, it may take some getting used to it. It doesn’t happen while on leash. If the coat gets damp, small dogs get their belly and chest wet when they are in wet grass or snow, it drys quickly. The brown coat always looks clean. I’m thinking of buying another, just in case this one ever wears out. The sizing is small dog sizing. Make sure to measure and look at the measurements. I bought the correct size on first try unlike some other reviewers.

Size medium fit a Boston terrier puppy from about 9 weeks old to 15 weeks. About 6 to 10 pounds. Puppy outgrew it fast. Looks great and provides some warmth. Sizes are odd, they are meant for smaller dogs.

True to size chart. I bought extra large for a 13lb Schnoodle and it is a perfect fit. Easy to take on and off and the built in harness makes taking him out in the winter, so much easier.
