A Wonderful sequel to an action packed blockbuster!!
A monster hunter or a charismatic sailor? Or, the saviour of the World?Remember him as you like but, Sinbad would be least bothered about these titles. Because, even after fighting a Greek God and crashing a vampire wedding and finally, stopping the Trumpet of Israfil from being blown and saving the World, did he actually save the World? Well, the Devil King, begs to differ. The sinister Iblis is yet after another artefact that could revive him and on the orders of the Caliphate, Sinbad and his ragtag group of rebels, embark on yet another journey to thwart his plans! What obstacles will Sinbad face this time? Golems? Vikings? Some wicked Chinese Alchemists? Or betrayal at the hands of his own friends? Will he even survive to face any of it? More importantly, will Sinbad save the World? Yet again?Only time will tell....'Sinbad and the Tomb of Alexander' by author Kevin Missal is the second installment of the author's highly ambitious Sinbad trilogy, a fantastical retelling of one of the most iconic characters of the Arabian Nights! Starting from the spectacular cover itself, the artwork is extremely catchy and beyond perfect! The vocabulary is simple and easily understandable to all age groups. The plot is pacy, adventurous and gripping. World building has been spot on and, so is the case with all the characters! One key point to note here is that, from a self assured man to a man full of doubts, the shift Sinbad's emotional curve shows the truth of human life. The book feels like an addictive concoction made out of mystery, mythology, fables, fantasies and a lot more!!Honestly, I have nothing to complain about so, grab your copies now and see for yourself!!Happy Reading!!

Great Read
For the second part of the Sinbad series, there have been huge expectations from the author to do justice to the book, and all I can say is that the author has given an incredible read, if not better, in this part of the series.Sinbad is on another mission with his team of rebels. He is to save the world again with new adventures, but Sinbad is more mature and confident than ever before. And in this voyage, Sinbad is seeking the tomb of Alexander. He has to find three stones which would help him get to the tomb; however, many hurdles are waiting for the Sailor on this voyage. Will he succeed or succumb? Read the book to know more. The author has taken creative freedom to give twists to history. The story is highly imaginative and fresh. The best part is that the book has magic, imagination, thrill, danger and obviously, a lot of action.I liked the way the author interweaved sorcery, demons, angels, dark magic, ghosts and almost everything in the story. It is a light, breezy read.I liked the characterization. The book has a good amount of humour as well. The cover looks pretty, but it surely can’t beat the cover of the first part.Though I liked the first part more than this one, I would still suggest this book as a great read because not many Indian authors know how to write fantasy-based books.Don’t miss this page-turner book.Go for it!Highly Recommended.

Second book in the series
Sinbad and the Tomb of Alexander is the second book in the series. Even though I've read Kevin's work before, it was mythology fiction and now reading this completely different genre, I was not only curious but excited to see how his writing style diversifies in a completely unique genre. He did a great job at penning down his imagination in the form of so many colorful characters but somewhere I felt that the main character seemed a bit dull. I've not read book 1 of the series but as an independent book, this didn't do enough justice to the character of Sinbad.Having said that, I'd like to come to the supporting characters which are wonderfully portrayed in the book - Ashrafiya being my favorite. The book at times is entertaining but at times it also gives you subtle lessons on empathy and kindness.I thoroughly loved the elaborate cover which is designed to the very last bit. It is descriptive yet not overdone. This is a book you'd want to put in the front stack of your shelf for it's aesthetics!Kevin is getting us hooked to his titles one after the other and I can't help but wait for the next one!

A coming-of-age fantasy fiction about the legendary salior!
Kevin's books for me have usually been a breezy read. Ones that I read to forget and move on. This one, however, was a pleasant surprise. Being lucky to be one of the early readers, I have mulled over and brooded over the story unlike any of his other books.Sinbad is sent on yet another adventure by the Caliphate with his crew of misfits. Another chance to save the world, another chance to thwart the Devil's plans. But what's brewing in the Captain's mind? From the adventure-loving young Seid in Book 1 we see Sinbad transform into an unsure Captain in Book 2. A Captain who faces his own vulnerabilities and abandonment issues as he tries to keep his crew and their trust intact. As they race to find the location of the Tomb of Alexander and the Water of Life thereof, Sinbad learns his own lessons in growing up. While action, adventure, world-building is all packed into this slimmer read, it's the human emotions depicted in the book that made it memorable for me. The inter-personal relationship and the grey villains make it a must read. One extra star for the gorgeous cover art!
