I crochet amigurumi and have been looking for a decent yarn with a metallic look. Most stores sell yarn with one single metallic filament, which separates too easily.This yarn barely separates when working, saving me time and frustration. It is so soft, even the metallic strands don’t add any scratchiness. The colors are super vibrant. I couldn’t be happier! I’ve bought 12 different colors and I’ll be returning.

Everyone who has seen and touched this yarn raves over it. They are not yarnies, however. I think it is beautiful, it knits and crochets up well, but as a roving yarn, it may not wash and wear well without extra care. Also, the red yarn is a bit washed out, not as vibrant as the other colors, and also a bit thinner (perhaps I got a bad batch?)Nevertheless, I have reordered several times. The olive green is stunning! I am using this yarn to make Christmas ornaments, thus I am not worried about wearability. The yardage is good value, and I have not found that the yarn tangles when drawing from the skein center. Retro-glam does not split easily.

If I were a beginner this yarn might make me quit trying to learn crochet. For experienced hookers, you'll love the way it works up.It is GORGEOUS and SUPER SOFT. I cannot wait to make shawls and scarves with it. Save yourself a lot of headache and MAKE A SWATCH BEFORE YOU COMMIT to a project. I did 2 small (12st, 12row) swatches to compare stitches for a freehand project and it was a little chaotic. This yarn is thin and knots easily, even when it knots into a slip knot, it will rarely unknot itself with a simple pull. Work the knot out before you pull it into a knot so small and tight it takes 3 minutes to work out.It is also FUZZY. Which means even if it isn't technically tangled, if it rubs against itself at all there is an 85% chance that it will trap enough fuzz to adhere to the other strand(s). May the odds be ever in your favor.You might not want to attempt to use it out of the bag as a center-pull like I did. Roll that bad boy into a ball before you start.

This is an initial review as I will come back after I finish this project for a full review. The color is beautiful. In the light (first picture) gives me a glimpse how it would look photographed. The second photo is without the extra light. It shows more of the metallic-like elements that disappear and show more blue when flash is used. (I like that). I am making a birthday dress for my best friend. It is soft to touch. Because of the material it will frizz up so I don't recommend for a beginner crocheter/knitter bc it will probably be a headache. I am excited to work with this!

This yarn is gorgeous… feels soft, color is shiny and vibrant…But be carful if you make a mistake… it is nearly impossible and very difficult to undo stitches. :(

Soft, lightweight, silky and easy to work with. Perfect for shawls, lightweight scarves and lightweight sweaters. The metallic adds just enough sparkle.

After purchasing this yarn, I read the reviews and thought, uh oh...When I received it, everything was good, packaging and all. The yarn was so soft as stated in reviews. I chose the priject to make butthis yarn has a mind of its own I had to take down a row, and that's where my problem began; I had to literally rip it out and lost a lot of yarn. I will not purchase this product again, nor will I suggest using it.

Yarn is very easy to crochet with, love the color. Nice sheen to the yarn. Will order more from this seller.

I have only just started using this yarn (made myself a test swatch) and am very excited to turn it into a cardigan. It is very soft, and the colour is gorgeous. It's the thinnest yarn I've ever worked with (I'm a new knitter, and have mostly used worsted yarn) so I'm a little scared I'll manage to break it somehow, but that's a me-problem, not a yarn-problem!
