Wish there were more reviews of restaurants.

Disappointed in Lonely Planet, we dug into Fordor's and won! This is a working guide to a very foreign place. The any hints on crowds, not just at the sights but, CRITICALLY, for tram, RR, bus, and metro. Fodor's is practical, Lonely Planet was a Wikipedia of too much of the unnecessary.

This book will help you with your travels in japan. Very useful to have on hand.

Will be going to many sites and locations. Comprehensive information helps plan our trip.

The book has some detailed information, yet missing a few items I was looking for (ie some parks and gardens in and around Tokyo). The print is so small that I had to get out a magnifying glass to read it.

El libro venía mal empacado, fue una verdadera suerte que no saliera dañado. Guía muy completa, incluso con mapas, propuestas de itinerarios, sugerencias de souvenirs y compras y hasta historia conscisa de lugares importes.

This is garbage. It’s worse than not having a book at all. It’s extremely poorly written, full of useless facts presented in an illogical order.

Ik heb een paar boeken geprobeerd over reizen in Japan en ik heb gemengde gevoelens over dit boek. Het boek bevat enorm veel nuttige informatie en op basis hiervan zou ik het iedereen aanraden. (ik vond het zelfs beter dan de concurrentie)Maar het boek heeft 1 groot nadeel en dat is dat de kwaliteit van de blaadjes en de kaft echt ondermaats is. Ik was bang dat de pagina's zouden verscheuren met normaal gebruik van het boek. Daarnaast kun je niet alle inhouden lezen zonder het boek helemaal open te klappen, maar ik vreesde hierbij dat de blaadjes daardoor los zouden laten uit het boek.Heel jammer. Als de kwaliteit van het boek beter was dan had ik het zeker gehouden.Ik geef het uiteindelijk 4 sterren omdat ik de inhoud toch enorm goed vond en als je het niet erg als je boek beschadigd raakt raad ik het boek toch aan.

Good descriptions and very good on cultural aspects of Japan

Quality is very poor. History section slim. Whole book is too small to have any real recommendations.
