a bit heavy but getting through it

This book is designed to look like a penguin classic but it isnt. Its printed by amazon, and for example the pages dont have headings and there are no page numbers . So if like me you are using this to study from its fairly useless. Its not cheap to buy, but the paper quality is poor and the cover is flimsy and is going to be bent in no time

Great Service and Product

So I bought this, thinking it was the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe as advertised...... The cover when first entered my line of sight, instead of being graced with a wonderful cover to a thick book similar to the penguin book covers, I was instead greeted by a blurry blown up image on a poor reproduction. The back cover mentions some of the more famous poe literature, such as "the raven" and "the tell tale hart" but this 'completed works' only contains 7 short stories and 1 poem.... NONE OF WHICH are the aforementioned famous works. Please do not be conned into buying this poor facsimile of a recreation and look for the more expensive officially licensed books

Disappointing.This book appears to have been published without the aid of any human interaction. There is no pagination or chapter separation, no footnotes or references, appendices or bibliography. The type setting is appalling, titles appear at the bottom of a page, word spacing is ridiculous, triple quotation marks are used...it's as if the whole book has been produced entirely as an abject lesson in how to fail as a publisher. This book is impossible to read without constantly searching through to find the story you want. A truly ugly book, oh, and it doesn't feature The Raven.

A masterpiece written by a genius!

This is not the complete works of Edgar Allan Poe despite the title. Only 5 stories in awful font.... utterly crass rip off. The cover also tries to resemble a typical Penguin Classic book - Penguin should sue. You should be ashamed of yourself.Potential book buyers, avoid at all costs. Second time that this has happened from this site (unsuitable edition/quality). Amazon has absolutely no quality control....0/5 CYH
