Doesn’t fit a bass
Perhaps this would work on a 6 string bass or a guitar but it won’t fit a fender j bass or an Ibanez 5 string. Piece of garbage 1 star.

Does it's job
I use this to mute the strings behind a Jazzmaster bridge and it does it's job perfectly.

Don't waste your money unless you have the tools to make it functional
The product would work great, if there was some better QC, the foam/neoprene(?) gives the the perfect muted sound unfortunately the poor quality machining on the metal piece means the strings actually rest and vibrate against the metal which ruins it completely, that material wedged under the strings would do a better job and cost less.
