Incredible Smart Lighting for Tech Dreamers on a Budget
My wife got me an Echo Dot (3rd generation) for christmas, so naturally I had to go crazy when it came to the smart home capabilities it offered. I was looking for the best bargain on smart lighting, and this is by far the most affordable route to take. I was impressed as soon as I opened the box by the easy-to-understand instructions and the direct customer service line that Singled offered. I plugged in the hub, and the bulbs were already paired and worked great! I was also able to easily pair 4 additional bulbs to the hub which I ordered separately. I was so happy with the functionality of the product when paired with my Echo Dot that I have already ordered more bulbs to make my all of my lighting Singled brand and smart home compliant. Overall, I am very impressed with the product, and after a short search of the Singled website, I have no doubt I will be taken care of if the workmanship of the bulbs fail anytime in the future. If you’re looking for affordable smart lighting with the abaility to easily add more, this is the product I’d recommend.

It was me. Going to keep Cause it’s awesome!!
Update 3: This is an awesome product. I was experiencing dementia/Alzheimer’s symptoms as a side effects of a medicine. Once those issues went away this thing was a breeze. I use it all the time. I have it connected to my google home. That was so simple I almost fell over.Peace out and floor it.Update: I have a very powerful WiFi router. So I put a longer cat5 cable on the hub to get it 10’ from the router. That resolved all the network timeout issues. There is a ton of information that you need to find online. The instructions, IMHO, are not complete.Update 2: I am keeping this. I still cannot connect it to my kindle. I am looking at buying an echo. So I'm hoping that will resolve the connection problem. But I love the wake up feature. It starts up dim, then brightens up over time. For this reason alone I would buy it. I love the scheduling too. No longer come home from work to a dark house.Improvements needed:1. Upgrade it to operate on 5 GHz2. Increase the amount of information in the instructions or put a link to a webpage.3. Increase the font size. Jeez please4. Include a longer cat5 cable or warn them about setting it to close to a powerful router.5. Fix the connectivity issues to a Kindle.I still cannot add it to my Kindle Fire that I bought a few weeks ago. Will try that Saturday.I’ve spent way to much time trying to get this to work. It only runs on 2.4GHz WiFi. So I’ve switched all my devices to the slower bandwidth.Got them working from my phone. Sort of. The writing on the bulbs is so small. So I put each bulb in a different zone to see which bulb was which.Huge mistake. I guess You cannot reassign bulbs. I deleted one bulb and went to add it only to constantly get a connection time out error. I’m literally 6 feet from the router and hub in line of site. After 6-7 attempts to add the bulb I gave up and decided to connect it to my kindle and Alexa.Kindle keeps getting an error trying to find devices. Ok it’s 15 feet away now. Also says I need to update my Alexa App but there is no update available.I’m going to try again Saturday on my day off. If it’s still this much trouble it’s going back.If you do get this. Get a magnifying glass to read the tiny print in the directionsOh yeah. I clicked on the Sengled support link in my email. That didn’t work either.

Extremely easy to install do not go by bad reviews
Pay no attention to the people who are having these ridiculously outrageous complicated problems. It is them not the lightbulbs or the hub or the app. Trust me I am no genius. I got these on Christmas Day and we are in January and I finally got enough guts to put them in because I was so worried about what the bad reviews were and how daunting of a task it looked to be. It took me five minutes for four lightbulbs Once you do the initial pairing with your router you can unplug the little hub that the lightbulbs come with and as long as you keep it close enough that you can plug it in anywhere without having to plug it into the router so don’t get worried about having to stay in there if you don’t have an a porch because you don’t need toListen I receive this is part of a Christmas gift to go with my Google hub. When I took it out of the box I said to myself what is this? What is this hub why is there an ethernet cable what is going on here. Pay no attention to the people who can’t seem to get this to work. I am no computer expert I have a google home and a hub Verizon FiOS I have an iPhone 7 not even a new one and I had absolutely no problem installing this. I actually was scared to install it or try because from the reviews that I was reading after I had already purchased this or actually it was given to me I was kind of scared to try to do it. Because when you open the box the directions are very weird looking it says you can call customer service but if you look at the reviews they said they don’t know anything either and that they had to send it back or they didn’t work or they couldn’t pair of them. I got four of them. All four of them were already paired with my hub it came with I just had to name them. Download the app it walks you through it step-by-step and if you plan on connecting this to your Google Hub or your Google home it is extremely easy to do. If you have to use the app I found no problems at all in using the app to control them. I don’t plan on doing that because that’s not why I got this but if I have to I know that is there and it is extremely easy. When I first looked at the app it gets like 2.5 stars and I said oh god here we go it’s going to be terrible. It’s not walks you through it take those little directions and toss them into the box you’re not going to need them. I am extraordinarily impressed with the quality of the lightbulbs they are very sturdy they are extremely bright and they do exactly what they are supposed to dim go bright turn on turn off with me saying hey Google If this is your first jump into the lightbulbs that are going to be controlled by your phone or your Google or Alexa I highly recommend them. They are an extremely cheap alternative to the Phillips which I am sure are much better they probably do a few more things a few different colors but guess what I don’t need that I’m 46 it is for a bedroom and office.

Complete dissapointment.
Now, i work in the computer/technical field and usually have no issues getting things to work. These bulbs and hub however are the worst experience i've even had in home automation. First, only being able to use a 2.4ghz network is such sloppy use of tech today, those frequencies and channels are very poor range wise and for devices that could be spread over an entire floor, its just bad planning. But that aside, the hub drops off the network regularly, and i have it wired into a gigabit switch. The bulbs, while i do seem to be able to turn them all off or on from the single command, do not work individually, it says it can't find them when i do, so i cannot dim them, cannot turn them individually on or off, only all at once... I'm going to keep playing around and see if i can work these issues out. But so far I'm not impressed. And i'm not looking forward to merging them with my Alexa...My advice it AVOID these bulbs and hub.Edit: Well i updated my star rating from 1 to 4, the sengled app still is all screwed up and i can only turn my bulbs on and off with it, all at once. Though when i added the sengled skill to Alexa i had no issues controlling all the lights with full features. So if you plan on using these with Alexa, i can recommend them, if not i'd avoid them.

"Hey Google, turn Sara on" BOOM wife's lamp turns on Couldn't be happier!
Bought the 4 pack starter kit for $30 around black friday and these things blew me away! You must first create a profile on the Sengled app (Android or iPhone phone/tablet required). Then you have to plug in and set the hub up to your local network, this allows the bulbs to sync with the hub. You MUST have a hub for the bulbs to work, each hub can support up to 50 bulbs.Once you have gone in and set everything up in the app it was as easy as plugging the bulbs into a lamp, turning the lamp on, and waiting for the bulbs to show up to connect to.You can adjust the brightness level from 1% to 100% and use Alexa/Google Assistant to turn off/on lights. I set up a routine so when I say "Hey Google, Goodnight" it shuts all lights off. I can also say "Hey Google, turn *Sara on" and the wifes bedside lamp turns on. (Wife isn't named *Sara...so she hates it....lol)Love these lights!

Needs some fine tuning
The brightness... is a little dull.I don't have Home or Alexa. But I was able to configure it use IFTTT and Stringify, so I'm still able to talk to my phone to modify the lighting without touching a button which is great.Takes some time getting used to IFTTT and Stringify. But you can have a nice wake up alarm clock functionality with Stringify and you can easily control all lighting with IFTTT. You just have to put in some time to configure.I'm sure it works better with Home or Alexa.
