A hard-on-his-luck hound Hank (Michael Cera) finds himself in a town full of cats who need a hero to defend them from a ruthless villain's (Ricky Gervais) evil plot to wipe their village off the map. With help from a reluctant teacher (Samuel L. Jackson) to train him, our underdog must assume the role of town samurai and team up with the villagers to save the day. The only problem… cats hate dogs!

Excellent movie, so funny
Watched this on Satellite TV. Hoping they release a Region 2 disc of it in time. Definitely worth a rematch. An evil cat (hilariously voiced by Ricky Gervais) has plans, but needs to clear a town of fellow felines. The town is defended by Samuel L Jackson's Samurai, but when he deserts his post, (Gervais) sends Hank to be the town's new Samurai. Two problems there - Hank is not a trained Samurai and biggest of all Hank is a dog, lol and not welcomed in the town. He undergoes training provided by (Jackson) in the spirit of Kung Fu Panda, lol. Desperate to right a wrong, can Hank call on his training and save the day? Mel Brooks who voices the Shogun, even manages to recreate a certain scene from his Blazing Saddles movie. I didn't appreciate that scene, lol. All in all a really funny film, clever references. Would certainly buy it if it came out on DVD

Don't waste your money
My twin 5 year old boys watched half the movie and switched it off. There were no laughing or comments from any of them. As a parent, I tried to watch it, however the writing is so bad, I gave up after several minutes.This is a movie that is written for young children, however the writers were clearly trying too hard to add comedy to a storyline that had been done to death with Kung Fu Panda. Therefore, the jokes are just too silly and not amusing at all - even for kids.

Blazing Humor from the Paws
Have always loved animation and this take of "Blazing Saddles" is quite good. Since I shared it with some of my friends, it has been borrowed more than once so that they can share it. I cannot believe I never saw it at the theatre.

If you have young boys, this is a great movie! It'll give you the free time (parent) that you need as they watch this movie.

It really is a kid-friendly version on Blazing Saddles. I watched this with my daughter & niece, then watched Blazing Saddles with my husband.
