I have been looking for a square planter to go in back yard area. When I found a corten steel planter for this price I couldn't pass it up what a great value. Shipping was fast. Item arrived flawless, no dents or bends. Assembly was a breeze, every pre drilled hole lined up perfectly. Definitely use the gloves provided as you can see from my pic they will come in handy, also I used unfolded delivery box to assemble on to catch extra dust. I placed planter on river rock and even after several days of heavy rain there was no staining or unsightly run off from planter. I want to purchase another one for a small tree. I love the shape and overall appearance. We are in our rainy season and planter seems to be draining well, if you do not want to worry about draining or drilling extra drain holes just make sure it is on level ground. If not level, water will have a hard time making it out center hole.

This thing is huge! It is nice quality material and the rust patina is real and great looking. It was somewhat of a pain to put together alone (would be much easier with two people), but the manufacturer was very forward thinking even including a set of cloth gloves so that you don't get your hands covered in rust while you assemble.Highly recommended product

The style is a great idea. The box is very sturdy and rigid.Update, the screws all stupped out and the Planter fell apart, spilling out all of the soil and killing my tree!

We purchased 5 of these for our backyard. They are easy to assemble and they are also aging well with a more weathered look.

1. It comes rusty so dress accordingly2. Don't expect all the holes to line up3. Expect some of the bolts to snap off due to the mis-alignment4. Finished assembly looks great and appears to be square.I will look for alternatives before buying another unit, but this may be the best value in the category.

I bought size 17x17 and it looks pretty darn good, clean, contemporary, but would also look great with any style garden. It's roomier than I expected, the size is good enough for a small tree such as olive or citrus tree. Putting the pieces together was fairly easy and required 0.0001% brain capacity. All holes were aligned. Very happy with the purchase!

I assembled the planter in less than an hour using the supplied screws and tool. The parts are precisely cut and fit together without much difficulty. However, make sure you assemble this where rust stains will not cause problems and wear brown- or rust-colored clothing because the rust will go all over the ground and you and your arms and clothes when you assemble this. The supplied gloves made holding the screws harder, so I took them off. After assembling, I wipe my hands and arms with a paper towel to remain rust powder, then applied a mild liquid detergent and removed the rest of the rust by rinsing with water. There’s very little rust stain on my hands after cleaning.The result looks good and sturdy with its square/rectangular corners. The product loses a star because it would leak enough rust to stain a floor, deck, or patio. If your deck is redwood colored that staining might not be a problem. Place the product directly on the outdoor ground where stains will run into the soil and not cause future problems.

Purchased as a feature outside our front door. It looks great against the black siding. It was easy to assemble and helpful that it came with a set of gloves because the rust is messy. We filled most of it with branches and then the top half with soil since it's very large. Looking forward to buying more from this company.

I too have a question about the rust..There was no customer support offered. If I hose the rust powder off then allow it to remain on a a mat or other surface outside, what are the chances it will continue to shed rust onto the surface. Would a permanent mat do the job of protecting . They are nice planters but who wants to ruin the concrete or surface they sit on...
