Pretty Good Alternative To Ugly Standard Pocket Door Hardware
Looks pretty good after installation. Operates fine and seems to be made of quality material. The overall design on the back side could use a bit of fine tuning. You ebd up having to bore out really close to the screw holes, this of course means that potentially the screw holes might end up splitting the wood or blowing out. Probably wouldn't be an issue in hardwood, but I used these for the edge of two pocket doors. The door slabs are molded hardboard, so the ends are cheap pine. No matter what you use this for, you'll want to pre-drill those screw holes.Note for anyone considering using these for pocket doors. These are certainly nice because you don't have to look at ugly plates on the face of the door when it is closed, but you will have to grab the door by the panel (if it has a panel design) in order to open it. This ring would basically be used just to pull the open door out of the pocket. I knew this before purchasing, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Small but sturdy
Exactly as advertised. I'd add that it is 9/16" deep. You need a 9/16" deep pocket to install it in. The other dimensions are exactly as advertised - 1 3/4" X 1 3/8". The product is very robust. I'm using it on a floor hatch (with tile) that is fairly heavy and it works great.

Well-built, but small
It took me a long time to find this product and I was really surprised that there weren't more options out there for pocket door hooks. In any case, it's a solid product and looks good installed. The only issue is it's much smaller than I envisioned. I should have read the specs, so that's my fault. It does the job on a basement door, so no big deal for me.

While it'll do the job, I wouldn't use them anywhere that's going to see frequent usage. The metal is finished only on the front face and the bowl, which leaves burrs on every vertical surface, including the edges of the ring where your fingers go. They're small, but rough and sharp, and might be uncomfortable on softer skin such as skin that's been in water or young kids.

Not designed well for installation
This is really difficult to install. It is very small as the dimensions state. That would be ok if the underside were better designed. But you have to route out a lot of wood to get it in by the routing gets extremely close to the screw holes. You have to be extremely precise in the routing it the screws will just break the wood.

My handy husband installed this on our crawl space door. The finish matched our door handles and after I cleaned up around the edges of our flooring it's seamless/flush. We didn't want a handle that bumped up to keep from catching anything on it. It's located inside an under stairs closet so this color makes it visible.

Black Powder Coat
I ordered the black one, and wasn't sure if it was going to come painted black or something else like anodized or powder coated. It's powder coated, and covered completely with no places where you can see the brass. Nice little solution for lifting a flush hatch out.

Keep It the SAME!!!!
Bought this as a replacement. It is VERY IRRITATING that manufacturers "widdle" a bit off the product edges over time, therefore it it sloppy when placed into box the old one came out of, which means a simple replacement now requires wood putty to fill in gaps. A 10 minute job turns into hours. Holes also did not line up either, so had to fill holes and re-drill them. Their savings, my expense. Very sad.
