I bought a pair of these years ago and liked them enough to order them again. My original pair held up pretty well but after a fair amount of use I thought it was time to get a new pair. Both pairs were described as "Tan" but my original pair is lighter in color (closer to tan) than the new ones, which seem slightly darker. I also swapped out the laces and put these mountain shoe-types in. Overall I would recommend these shoes but it loses one star due to being a bit darker than tan in my opinion.

Worn these shoes for quite some time, they hold up really well in city or suburban environments. I've taken them on occasion into nature. They have that slightly elevated look, more so than sneakers, flip flops, sandals, or the like, but they're not formal like a dress shoe by any means. The only issue I've encountered that's been irksome is the shoelace keeps coming undone, I don't know if it's the round shoelace shape or something, I tie a standard shoelace knot, and way more often than I'd like, the shoelace will come undone. I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else has this issue, a good shoe otherwise.

Does NOT impress me with its weight and "strength".I just recv'd these...have not worn them. But by touch and feel ALONE these shoes seem like they will not last. ROCKPORT mens XCS shoes. Time will tell.

These shoes are so light than when the box came, I wondered if it was empty. I haven't owned them long enough to test their durability, but they don't feel as sturdy as past Rockports I've owned. They look great though. Time will tell if I buy another pair.

My right foot was sprained so bad that I was using a medical support boot which becomes tiresome. But by lacing my shoe up in a special manner manner, I was able to take some breaks from the boot.

Most shoes I have are 10 or 10.5. I ordered a 9.5 because I had an old pair of a different style of Rockports that were 9.5 and they fit perfectly. This new pair came and they are way too long, like a whole inch inside in front of my toe. That made the hinge too far up on my toe bone which caused discomfort. Strangely, they also seemed to be a bit narrow. I wore them for a while hoping the fit would improve, but it didn't. I ended up ordering a new pair, size 8.5 wide. I'd say the width of the 8.5 wide is about the same as the 9.5 regular, which is a little tight on me but not too bad. The length is much better. I'd recommend ordering a size smaller than you normally do. Build quality seems good, and they are super lightweight!

I have bought multiple pairs over the years. I like that the inside of the heal doesn't chip away like so many of my other running shoes. They are very light height but that does make the sole softer. But this is a good compromise. I use a leather protector twice before wearing. The sole will wear out before the leather does.

Comme pour les autres. Cette paire vient se rajouter à la dizaine que je possède. Dans ces chaussures on a la sensation d’une paire de chaussons. Souple, confortable, un très bon amortissement. C’est dommage que l’on ne trouve pas suffisamment de modèles et de tailles différentes. Les semelles en caoutchouc sont formidables.
