I bought these for my adult daughter. She sketches a lot she loved these chalk pencils. She a wonderful artist and does great work.

Haven’t used them yet because they are hard to sharpen correctly and they aren’t sharpened at all when purchased. After sharpening 5 pencils my new sharpener stopped sharpening completely. New sharpener became dull very fast after using on these pencils

They are easy to use and easy to control.For charcoal they are pretty smooth writing. The down side is they come unsharpened.

I am using these pencils for mixed media illustration and they are great! The lines I draw with these do not wipe off, very clear and stable strokes, and I can sharpen these in.my electric sharpener.

Decent quality and sturdier than some other charcoal pencils that I’ve used. I think these pencils work better with some types of paper than a gel pen. You can also use them to write on metal if you weld and cut.

I after a couple of chalk pencils that I had purchased from somewhere else we're broken. I was drawn to these because they were more protected as they had wood around them instead of a solid chalk pencil. But they don't write very smooth, they will get the job done, but it won't be pretty
