These wire strippers were able to easily strip the wire I was working on and they were easy to use. The handles were comfortable and seemed well made to last. There was 3 adjustments for various stripping depths. I can recommend this product to other users.

I needed a good stripping tool for fiber optics, and this fits the bill. It’s solidly made with a comfortable grip. It has spring-loaded handles that are also locking.I tried it on some fiber optic fiber, and it worked quite well – easy, accurate cuts for stripping, and for cutting the cable and glass fiber. There are three notches for various stripping steps of fiber optic cable. The smallest is for scraping off the coating on the glass fiber. You also get an Allen wrench to make adjustments in the future.Factory adjustments aren’t accurate because the two strippers were adjusted differently. I adjusted them so both worked as they should.Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, these work like they’re supposed to and they are well-made.

Good quality fiber optic strippers. They are easy to use and cut well. Solid and easy to hold. Would recommend.

I have used "nicer" or at least somewhat better built fiber strippers but there isn't a ton of difference between this or a Jonard or Ripley. Design is fairly close to a Ripley CFS. These are of the same quality of the strippers that come with the Corning Unicam kits from my testing. Without any adjustments I was able to cleanly remove the loose tube and acrylic layers to expose the fiber for termination on a chunk of Corning 24/24 ADSS cable and the fusion splicer reported no issues during the fusing process. I see some reviews referring to it as a wire stripper, which it may do for some use but these are a standard 3-hole design specifically for fiber optic cable termination prep. I just want to make sure everyone is aware that this is more of a "one trick pony" specialty tool. I don't do fiber daily or even weekly but it is often enough that I have started to keep a small set of fiber tools in the truck as last minute jobs and emergency repairs have been popping up more and more frequently.

It cuts the fiber when trying to use it

So not sure if my pictures will show up very well. It is pretty hard to photograph stripped fiber.These are actually good strippers. They look and feel just like the other brand you know if you have used three (3) hole strippers. My first couple cuts snapped the core like right off the bat. The moment I started the pull the core broke. this happened a few times and quickly I was unsure of them as a quality product.I went back about 12-15 inches on the spool and cut it off as a waste. Everything i stripped after that was perfect each time. These pulled the jack and core tight buffer no problem every time. They just worked great. I was working with SYSTIMAX 50um as the glass I was cutting. It is always a dream to work with. Do a lot of it in armored application and have never had a problem with it ever. These strippers will officially be in my tool bag from here on out.I did use this again with a couple of Corning Unicam Pretium LC connectors, no issues, and then a few spliced pigtails using a Fujikura splicer and again no problem. Again, they have earned a place in my tool case and tech pouch.Defiantly recommend!!!!
