I believe when I bought these they had a higher rating than other wooden sets. That said for a wooden set I didn’t have any problems with mine. The fear for me is that I rate these too high you get them and then realize you have to have an aluminum set to actually play a fast paced game. You could get these to play with someone slow or you could maybe train with these, but once you play with an aluminum paddle even the cheapest one you will not return to these wooden paddles. The balls were also not the same as the ones I had to get to play indoors with. Overall I would say if you are playing outdoors and just trying to see what the game is like go ahead but know as soon as you want to play for real you will need a better paddle and better balls.

The paddles have been great so far but the balls aren't very good quality.
