ARCTIC TP-3: Premium Performance Thermal Pad, 100 x 100 x 0.5 mm

Perfect and enough

Last Time I used thermal paste was back 15 years ago trying to get rid of the red ring of death on Xbox. It was messy and really hard to apply (me being a amateur thermal paste user) to cover the processor in depth and all corners covered. This pad is a game changer its literally this simple. Clean processor with alcohol carefully clean heatsink measure processor cut to fit, take of shiny protective sheet apply to processor and then proceed to take of diamond sheet this one was 1mm thick if you need bigger use two pieces. A complete novice here and this has stopped my pc from throttling this stuff works I have no problems with heat dissipation now. Also there is enough here to reapply many times the size for the price is unbelievable simply because it takes the mess away and makes it easy for novice's like me. Delivered very quick.

Used one pack of the 0.5mm, 1.5mm and 2mm pads while overhauling my RTX2080. They were all uniformly excellent quality, with the right amount of stickiness and firmness. After the overhauling (including replacing the paste with Arctic MX4) my card went from up to 98 degrees Celsius at max to 87 max (with a higher hotspot). It also took almost all of each of the three packets to replace all the pads; this almost certainly won't be needed unless you are effectively practising like I was but it gives an idea as to the amounts needed. (I did look up the thicknesses on a blueprint for my particular card and had to layer the thicknesses.....which as Arctic say is both east and effective ). Easy to install with patience and a sharp craft knife to cut them and I'm happy with the performance improvement.

Great for Xbox Series X full pad replacement. Thermal conductivity is far superior to the stock thermal putty. Pads can easily be cut to size using a craft knife and are reusable if you are careful with removal. 1.5mm is the correct thickness for Xbox series and Xbox one consoles. Great cost Vs performance. Cannot be used on the APU die itself, only for RAM, VRMs, SSD and expansion card areas. Also available on Amazon is Artic MX-6 which is great for the APU and bottles of isopropyl alcohol 99.9% for thoroughly removing the old paste/putty from all locations.

Used these on my Macbook Pro 15" Mid 2015 to add above the fins on the heatsink to help keep the power hungry CPU and GPU cool. Lowered the temps by around 5C. These thermal pads were easy to cut, and stuck well to the heatsink, and are clearly effective. The back case of the Macbook gets noticebly warmer where the pads were installed, a clear indication that the pads are very effective. Definetly recommend if you're looking to upgrade or replace existing thermal pads.

Brought and applied these back in Aug/sept time as my aging PS4 started to sound like an F-35 in hover mode. These were Easy and straight forward to apply, best cut to size with a hobby craft knife and not a Stanley blade like I did. Also used the arctic mx6 thermal paste and a thorough cleaning of the heatsink. So here I am 2-ish months later and happy to say my PS4 is practically silent and much cooler.....So yes they work and absolutely worth the money.

Purchased to use in PS4 Pro along with replacing the thermal compound. Has made it go from sounding like a jet engine to significantly reducing the noise. Product is slightly awkward to cut, I used scissors, but suspect a decent craft knife would be better. Have plenty left over if and when the time comes to open the PS4 again.

Très bon pad thermique. Je l'utilise sur une Rx 5700 XT qui normalement chauffe beaucoup. Elle montait régulièrement à 90°C. J'ai remplacé les pads thermiques sur la VRAM, sur les VRM et remplacé la pâte thermique par un pad résultat: 77°C avec MSI Kombustor au bout de 2 heures de test. Franchement très bon pad thermique.

These thermal pads performed exactly as hoped and without a single headache along the way. I used them to service both my launch-model PS4 and a friend’s newer revision, replacing the original worn thermal pads during a full cleaning and maintenance session. Installation was straightforward. The pads were easy to work with, seated properly without fuss, and compressed nicely once the consoles were reassembled. No awkward trimming issues, no excessive rigidity, no frustrating surprises. Before the replacement, both consoles had reached that infamous stage every long-time PS4 owner knows too well, the deafening roar of overworked fans screaming under even moderate load, sounding less like gaming systems and more like exhausted jet engines preparing for takeoff. After the cleaning and thermal pad replacement, that chaos simply vanished. The fans finally returned to a whisper. Both systems now sound like they did when we first unboxed them years ago. There is very little else to say, and in this case, that is the highest compliment possible. These pads do exactly what they are meant to do, and they do it well. A good choice for anyone looking to revive an aging console without unnecessary complications.

Arctic har aldrig svikit mig förr och denna är inget undantag, grafikkortet (RTX2080) behövde nya och har fått nytt liv igen!

Bought to repaste a MSI 3080 x trio lhr 12g. 1mm is for the vram chips around the GPU die. Absolutely phenomenal. Not only are they cheaper but the definitely make better contact vs the gelid kit which is actually almost double if not double the price. They also ran slightly cooler. Memory pre re-pad and paste was at 94-97c/ fans 65%. Gelid kit memory max that i saw was 85 at 65% and the arctics was staying at 83 but max of 84 at 65%. Reason for removing the gelids is because i didn't feel like they were making sufficient contact just by eyeing it but i could be wrong. But for half the price and in my opinion better contact and 2c less i would definitely go with arctic!
