Maybe cause I do use vegan shampoo and conditioner (which also smells great). I Waited a week or so, did it again, however this time I didn't have the time or the want to wash it before, used half of what was left, waited the 20 minutes and got the same result. The recently did the same, except I left it for like 2 hours. Same result. So I would say, try it how you usually do these types of treatments. It has not been cut above my shoulders since 1882, permed once in the 80s for a hair show /catalog modeling spread. Never colored until recently. I hardly used any styling products- just quality shampoo/conditioner/leave in conditioner.Due to thyroid issues, my long treasured, coveted, long locks began to change. They started to break, dry out, and just not feel like healthy. I did keratin treatments for several years and spent a lot of money on expensive shampoo/conditioner/masks/leave ins. That did help but never gave my hair back to me.I used clear gloss on my dry, colored locks. Although I’ve watched several of brads videos- I didn’t have high expectations. I simply had lost hope & celeb backing just didn’t help. Imagine my surprise when it’s best potion I’ve ever used. I did apply it to warm, freshly washed, damp/ish hair. Wrapped it up with my trusty hideous oversized shower cap. Secured it air tight with headband. I kept running hair dryer over it to keep it warm… for just over an hour. I rinsed and dried it without anything but a comb. Honestly, my hair was like silk… still is. Shiny. Soft. Healthy. Beautiful. Better than salon keratin treatments that took 4 hours or more.I’ve been stopped on street by strangers asking if my hair was real- that’s how shiny it is. Incredible. Only problems- now my hair is constantly dirty because I can’t keep my hands out of it. Secondly, I’m scared of empty bottle. Thirdly, I’m totally addicted.Bravo, Brad! Lol.Helpful info:My hair is waist length, thick, dry. One application- I used half the container. I did apply it heavily. Fresh washed with no other products - not even basic conditioner.Smell is a bit loud but rinses completely out.Full effects are still strong after 4 washes or 10 days in Atlanta hot summer topical storm weather. It’s completely cut my need for detangler or frizz oil. After rinsing (for like 20 minutes) my hair still felt slightly gummy. But after drying, that went away. However. It took f o r e v e r to dry my hair. I have no idea why. But it took at least an extra 10-15 minutes. I’m not huge on the smell. Smells like a flowering tree but not necessarily the best smelling tree, if that makes sense. Smell doesn’t stick around for very long though, so I’m totally okay with it. It definitely feels softer. A lot softer. My hair was not damaged to begin with, (which is why I am certain I didn’t benefit from this nearly as much as others will) it feels very very silky. Didn’t really help with frizz, but it was never supposed to. The packaging is beautiful, sturdy. Etc. now. Here’s the best part. I have TERRIBLE dermatitis on my scalp.My scalp does not play well with others.At all. As in, I have to wash my hair with dove sensitive skin soap bars. Liquid? Nope. Medicated shampoo? Negative. When I tell you I’ve tried everything, I have. Dove it is. Fine. However as I’m sure you can imagine a soap bar that isn’t meant for hair doesn’t exactly do great things for my hair. This seems to make up for what my shampoo strips from me. Which is nice.My official verdict is- if you have damaged hair, definitely worth it. It will likely work wonders for you. If you don’t have damaged hair, and just want sleek and shine, try it. But don’t expect miracles.If you have a sensitive scalp and just want a product that will make your hair silky and shiny without irritating it? This worked for me. But everybody is different. I’d say price is a *little* high, for what it did for me.
