10 Strawberry Street Café Stripe 16 Piece Coupe Dinnerware Set, Black

Bought this as a starter set for a kid just moving out. This ain’t porcelain fine dining china, but it is a cute pattern (the pink stripe one at least), it’s a nice weight, does well in the microwave - doesn’t get molten-lava hot like some cheap dishes, the bowls are a generous size for soup or cereal. So far after a few weeks’ use, they’ve been durable, no chips. I will say that two of the plates had a tiny speck of color outside of the design. It’s not noticeable at a glance, just if you look closely. Don’t let that stop you from ordering. I may order another set for my other kid. It’s a great value.

I bought two of these 10 Strawberry Street dinnerware sets as I have had another 10 Strawberry Street for many years and they were of good quality. However, the set I’ve had for years was made in Poland and I figured these new ones would be the same. But when they arrived, I find that they were made in China and the quality is poor. The plates are very irregular and you can see the very obvious irregularities.

Heavy and well packed

This was one of three sets of dishes we tried out to replace the mismatched take-out food container set from my college days. Ahh growing up, who knew picking out dishware would be the highlight of a Friday night?!! Some thoughts: What we liked: - Beefy weight. These have a decent weight to them belying good solid construction. Not too much air trapped in the clay, which can weaken cheaper made types. - Crisp lines. The coloration was even and well applied, with no obvious defects or blemishes. - Simple design. Nothing too garish, no weird bumps or crenellations on the surfaces to catch cutlery or trap food bits. - Universal color match. These went with deep cranberry tablecloths as well as summer blue, no problem. - Dishwasher safe. Ran on 'High-temp, 1-hour, Pot Scrubber' with 2x the soap recommended and they came out pristine. - Microwave safe. Heated leftovers, coffee, and soup no problem. What we found lacking: - Somewhat shallow bowls. As seen in the pic, the bowls are more salad style than liquid. This made serving soup/chowder/chili difficult, and we eat a lot of liquid meals in the cold depth of winter. - Get very hot in the microwave. These soaked up a LOT of microwave heat, the most of the three sets I tested. - Packaging was very wasteful. They arrived safely, but that was due to a ton of waste cardboard, paper, plastic and tape. Overall we did not choose this set to keep (the soup bowls being too shallow being the deal breaker) but they are a very nice basic beginner set if you need functional ceramic eating ware.

La hechura tiene sus detalles. personalmente esperaba un producto sin defectos, perfecto; pero las cintillas negras y un poco la cerámica tienen detalles, no deja de ser una bonita vajilla y elegante. 8/10, si me preguntan.

we ordered 3 sets (12 place settings). The dishes arrived on time and were very well packaged for shipment. There was no damage. Unfortunately although we liked the design a lot, the quality was not what we hoped for. There were several design misprints/gaps, several plates had a severe 'wave' and two of the bowls had annoying 'picks' on the inside. The vendor vendor included instructions about dealing with defects. They ask that pics be sent to them and they would ship replacements. We did that but were then informed they do not ship replacements to Canada. They recommended we return and reorder. We returned, but chose not to take the chance on reordering.
