If you want a plinking scope for your 22LR this has worked great!
I grabbed this scope because it seemed like a good value for the price, and I have eye issues so projected red dots are a bit hard for my eyes to see. Got this sight since its a prism so the reticle is etched on. The illumination is fine and plenty bright for and indoor range or cloudy day. I used a laser bore to sight it in at 10 yards. It seemed to hold it plenty fine. I am a bit shaky but I included the grouping I shot at 10 yards. Also this was my first time sighting in a sight of any type so I felt it was good enough for me to plink with.

Great optic !
Monstrum makes great products .I specifically chose the Raven for it's durability and it's compact size . But even for it's size it's not a light red dot it has a surprising amount of weight to it .I like it , it's clear and offers good eye relief of course depending on placement .Definitely can't go wrong with this one

Second one I've bought
The first one I bought of this optic was great or is actually, the second one I bought is blurry around all edges of the optic. If and when I move it up and down or all around, it blurs things I need clear vision of.I am disappointed in this optic now.

Poor eye relief
I was on the fence about this scope for a couple weeks, doing research and watching YT videos which are plentiful. There's some mixed reviews but overall everyone seems to be satisfied with Monstrum Tactical's products. I decided on this scope because it was a second generation model and looked cool. Aesthetics is one of the reasons I bought this scope. It has a sharp profile that isn't too over the top or clunky. I also liked how the mounting bolts were flush with the mount and not one of those bulky accessory screws which thankfully seem to be getting phased out. It was easy to mount on my rifle and the reticle knob wasn't overly stiff when turning. The diopter feels nice and smooth like something you'd find on a higher end product. Once I got it mounted I went into a standing shooting position to see how everything looked and all I saw was black with a little circle of light off in the distance. I figured that maybe I had the scope too far away so I brought it all the way back as far as it would go, tightened the screws, raised my rifle and it was better, but not in any way functional for live fire. Luckily, I had another carbine with an adjustable stock and I had to slide that all the way in just to see through the scope which means I have to train myself to use a different posture just to use this scope. I'm not going to lie, I was a little hot after all that nonsense. It's a great scope but the eye relief negates the functionality completely. I'm not shooting a rifle with my eyeball stuck in a scope like that. Maybe an inch away. It could be more but it feels like I have to move my head forward in order to get a clear sight picture which irks me. I could've lived with a loose knob or not so bright reticle, even those big unsightly accessory screws but this, I dunno. I want to try a different scope to see if this is something that's a common issue with this company. I really hope not because everything else I like and for the price it's hard to beat but what good is a scope if you can't see through it. If Monstrum can make that eye relief better they'll be selling these scopes left and right. I'm not turning my back on them just yet. I'm giving them one more chance and if the same thing happens then adios amigo.

Solidly built 1.5X prism scope, crystal clear optics, red/green illumination, huge FOV. Nice!
Well, this scope actually turned out to be great and at the price of $100 you really can't beat it! It's a 1.5X prism scope, the reticle is etched into the glass, so you don't need to turn illumination on to see it. The illumination can be selected in red or green color. Windage and elevation turrets are small, you cannot make adjustments with your fingers, unfortunately, this requires a small screwdriver for it. Turrets are covered by screw caps. There are no "leashes" or wires that attach the turret caps to the scope's body so when they are removed for adjustment, it's extremely easy to drop or misplace these caps. The brightness knob is stiff. The scope looks and feels very sturdy and well built. The scope provides slight magnification of 1.5X straight, which is fixed and can't be changed. It is fairly lightweight, about 320 grams, but it still feels heavy-duty and robust. All of these are under $100.It's marketed as a competitor to Red Dot sights. Without the illumination turned on, you barely see the black circle, and you really can't see the central dot. You really need illumination to effectively operate your firearm with it. But the reticle back-lighting is nowhere near to what daylight requires. If you stand in a bright sun and aim in the dark area, the reticle is barely visible even at the brightest illumination setting. Also, the huge brightness knob on the left side of the scope obscures vision somewhat when you look through the scope with both eyes open. On the positive side, the glass is super nice and crystal clear, and the machining of the scope's body is "beefy" and rugged. This scope will definitely stand up to abuse. And most importantly, FOV is huge and wide. The scope has a simple reticle with a dot in the center and a circle around the center of the crosshair, which is normally referred to as circle-dot. Eotech pioneered this reticle with their -0 reticle. As far as I know, this was the first combination of dot and circle reticles into one. The dot and circle are intended to draw the eye to the center of the reticle for quicker target acquisition and precision. The circle can also be used to approximate distance to the target. Dot reticles are best used for competition shooting, as well as hunting quick-moving game, such as varmint or hogs.*** TL;DR ***Yes, I would definitely recommend it to my friends at a shooting range. Putting aside the few complaints that will hopefully be resolved in future models, this is an amazing 1.5x scope. It is very well designed and very well made. It's very budget friendly and for the range of features and quality of its construction, I'd say it's worth every penny. This scope is by far the best I've seen in this price range. Solid 5 stars in my book.+++ Pros +++1) Solidly built.2) Prism type scope.3) Huge FOV, just awesome!4) Circle-dot reticle.5) Water and fog proof.6) Nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed.7) Turrets are covered with caps.8) Dual color illumination.--- Cons ---1) No lens caps.2) Brightness is too dim.3) Turret caps are not attached to the scope.4) Not a quick-attach type of mount.

Don't do it. Keep looking. China junk.
Think my title about sums it up. Ordered 2 different models. Wanted a cheap knock around sight. This ain't it. First one had etching that when turned on the circle and dot bled into one another. The second one had a good etched job but the light bounces into the lens making it distracting and unclear while trying to aim. This is nothing more then a 50 dollar sight from another china garbage company pretending to be something they are not.

Monstrum: please offer DX1 reticle with this and your other scopes, esp low powers.
DX1 reticle is great! Beats circle reticle. Please put it in your low power lines.
