CURT 23082 Universal Tri-Ball Trailer Coupler Lock, Fits 1-7/8, 2, 2-5/16-Inch, Orange

Look no further!As the title states, I own 3 of these. I bought one to try it out, and ended up buying them for all of my trailers because they’re perfect.

This coupler lock is a novel design, and does look a bit flimsy. However, it's strong enough to deter an opportunist thief, particularly if you use it in conjunction with other security devices. The lock is small and very portable, and as it's all kept together with a steel cord, so I'm unlikely to lose any of the constituent parts.I think this is a neat, cheap security add on and I would recommend it as an accompaniment to other security devices you may use.

This is different than most that i have encountered but it is versatile! Someone mentioned it may break easy? I don’t think it would be that easy, and if you bust the ball off it is likely to still be stuck in the hitch which is its purpose! I don’t think any lock is completely unbreakable, if someone wants it bad enough they will get it, it just slows them down some!!

This uses the trailer coupler to securely lock into place. It is made with glass injected plastic which makes it very durable, strong, and lightweight. The pin slides through the coupler locking the ball into place. The pin then has a lock that slides onto one end. To be able to remove this someone would have to break the pin lock. There is also an included cable that connects the pin to the tri-ball so things are kept together. I like that it is bright orange also so hopefully it will get noticed before anyone tries anything.
