I'm really not sure what some of the negative reviews are about. This seat is comfortable, swivels, and makes good use of a 5 gallon bucket (Home Depot). It is not meant to permanently lock down to the bucket - if it did, you couldn't use the bucket for anything but a seat! I put my gardening tools in the bucket, and can comfortably sit with easy access to whatever I need. The bucket's wire handle does clear the seat (meaning, you can swing the handle up to carry the bucket with the seat on), it is just a bit snug. MAYBE 1/4 less stuffing and material, and it would swing freely. But it is not an issue. If I knew of other gardeners in my family, I would definitely buy one of these as a gift for them.

This product has an inside diameter of 12 inches. A standard orange Home Depot five gallon bucket has an outside diameter of 12 inches. Thus said, you really have to put some oomph to get this seat on. But, when it’s on, it’s nice and tight and won’t fall off.The seat swivels quietly as advertised and the cushion is firm. I haven’t used this outdoors or when it’s raining yet, so I can’t say much about waterproofness.One thing to note is the position of the seat handle in relation to the bucket handle when attaching to bucket. It could potentially get in the way.I also got a bucket boss tool organizer thing for five gallon buckets. With it draped over, I can still attach the seat. But like I said before, it takes a lot of effort to get the seat on.Overall, great product. Before purchasing this, measure your bucket, as not all five gallon buckets are the same. If the outside diameter is 12 inches, it will be tight. If it’s less than 12 inches, I can assume it will be looser.

It's tough and the swivel feels nice. The cushion is actually very comfy for long sitting times.

The seat is pretty comfortable and the fact that it swivels is great, but it doesn’t snap onto any of the five gallon buckets I own and doesn’t fit over the lip of any of the buckets. If you want a quick, temporary seat, this is for you. If you want a secure, snap on bucket seat that won’t come off easily, this ain’t it. I’m not greatly disappointed because it does sit on the bucket, although unevenly, and work. For under $20, I’ll keep it, but I definitely expected better.

If you move slowly, the lid rotates almost silently, making this ideal for ground blind hunting. It *could* be a little warmer, but it definitely beats a frozen tree stump. Happy to have it.

Thought this was gimmicky when the wife ordered it for me. it is amazing. I love the rotating top and it clips on the bucket just enough to stay on but is easily removed. Good quality, great price.

I just spent 2 hours on this on a 5 gallon bucket. I have not butt to speak of and the padding is great! Don't think just order.
