CAMELBAK Lifestraw Bite Valves 2 Pack for use on Eddy+ Water Bottles - Clear - One Size

I saw that many of these were returned- I’m not sure why. This is a replacement valve for a CamelBack water bottle. It’s easy to remove the old damaged valve and place the new one.

Not what I thought that I had ordered. I intended to get the adult size. It ended up working out anyway.

We ordered this to replace a broken one on my 5 year old’s water bottle. I washed it, put it in, and sent my son on his way. He came home saying he didn’t like the water bottle because it tasted like a weird mint-I thought maybe he touched it right after using hand sanitizer. Nope. I got the second one washed and smelled it before putting it together and it too smelled. It’s like it was sitting next to chemicals or there’s chemicals on it. I washed a few times and cannot get it off. It also affects the taste of the water, we just had to throw it away and now I’m hesitant to reorder more after this experience.

Not as pictured. Leaks. Upper wide part of the part that goes under the lid is much shorter than pictured, with 3 ridges instead of 5. Does not form a tight seal and water spills out when straw is folded shut. Also, bottom tab protrudes down, parallel with straw part instead of perpendicular/ flush with lid as pictured.

Despite the description that states this replacement valve is for Eddy+ water bottles, it does not fit.
