I bought the XL because I had the room, but the room is carpeted, which I think makes it a bit harder to get the mat to lie really flat. If you have concrete or hardwood floors this might not be as much of an issue. I've been working on it for the past couple weeks and have gotten it so the ball rolls pretty straight. Rolling it up tightly the opposite way from how it came was of help, and so did lightly spritzing the mat with water then ironing on a 4 setting.The tilted end and ball return feature are Must Haves in my opinion to really enjoy and use a lot. After practicing on the carpet with 5 or 6 balls always getting in each other's way, this feature is GREAT! Super easy to set up and once the mat is flat it's fantastic to practice on. The lines allow you track both your putting stroke and the ball's path to the hole. I'm pretty new to golf but looking for ways to improve. I've been using this for about 2 weeks and It's already helped me develop a more consistent, comfortable stroke and better feel for distances. Every time I walk by I hit a few putts, or maybe 25. I live where there's snow 6 months a year so It's great to have something fun to do during winter!!I would recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their putting game or doesn't have good access to practice greens.

I have always been a terrible putter. This thing has made my putting do a complete 180. Buy this. Do the drill where you have to make 2 putts from each foot mark and you will immediately improve. There is a line that you roll the ball down, and it makes a huge impact on helping you see how to roll the ball to the target. Your brain will immediately hone in on the task. Seriously. You suck at putting. This makes you not suck. It makes you a good putter. Especially, in the scoring range putts inside 10ft.

I’m recovering from shoulder surgery so the only golf stroke I can practice is putting. I bought the Perfect Practice putting mat a week or 2 ago and it has definitely helped me understand the flaws in my putting stroke. I got the set that included the mirror and I realized that my stance was a part of my problem. Once I corrected some issues with that, I was able to focus on keeping the putter head straight in both the backswing and follow through by using the lines in the mat as a gauge. Very helpful! I also really like the small hole, as it makes the regulation hole look gargantuan. I made 40 consecutive 6-footers on the regulation hole before finally taking a break. It’s very satisfying to watch a putt roll straight down the line. The ball rolls perfectly true and the material is good quality - maybe a little quicker than the public greens I’m used to playing on. My only complaint as a putting aid is the ramp up to the holes. I wish they had some sort of adjustment/calculation to tell you what the length is taking the ramp into consideration. I’ve hit many putts that fail to get to the cup, but had plenty of pace had the mat been flat. Likewise, I’ve had just as many that went in that probably were hit too hard for the distance shown on the mat. So maybe a 6 foot putt is adjusted to 8 feet with the ramp - something like that. It will be interesting to see how my distance control is on an actual green. One last thing: balls never come completely down the ball return ramp. No big deal, but for the price, I’d like to see that work better. Set up is super easy, but it takes several days and some ironing to get the mat to lay completely flat. Mine is still curled up just a tad at the ends, but that doesn’t interfere with putting.

All you do is roll it out on a flat surface, line up the return slats and start putting. I am a beginner golfer in my late 50s, excited to finally get good enough to play with my older brother. I wanted to show off my skills, but he declared I was the worst putter he had ever seen in the entire world. That hurts but he was right that I was bad. Reclaiming my dignity began the moment this arrived. My accuracy and force are incredibly improved. The video coached me thru a grip modification that is a game changer for me. My brother doesn’t know it yet but I am going to crush him the next time we play a round.

Very pleased with this golf mat which is very to set up, quick to pack away, and works well. So far it has been used indoors only but would be great on the patio in warmer weather. Just one slight problem … how do we stop the dog from grabbing the balls as they head towards the hole!!!

Bought it as a present for my husband, he absolutely loves it and is happy that he can practice putting at home. Even I enjoy it :) Fast delivery, arrived earlier than expected.

I do like it, but I find I need to iron it every time I unroll it.
