Classic Distortion with Modern Versatility
The media could not be loaded. The KOKKO Distortion Pedal delivers sharp tones that work great for classic metal and modern rock. With its simple controls—Tone, Level, and Gain—it’s easy to dial in a solid distortion sound. I found that keeping the Gain knob under 50% helps avoid high-pitched feedback, but you can push it higher if you want a rawer, more aggressive feel. The Tone knob works best when set higher, adding clarity and presence to your sound, especially for leads. The Level knob does a great job of boosting the overall signal, and when paired with the bridge pickup, it really brings out a sharper, more cutting tone. On its own, this pedal gives you a solid rock distortion with a modern edge, but if you pair it with your amp’s distortion or throw in a compressor, it can work well for modern metal too. It’s versatile enough to earn a spot on your pedalboard, depending on how you shape it.For the price, it’s a great deal and definitely holds its own. It’s compact, well-built, and delivers tones that sound way better than you’d expect at this price point. Check out my demo video to hear how it handles clean tones and distortion—you’ll hear just how much this pedal can add to your setup.

Good pedal for beginners
I love this pedal for this price, but it may not get the tone you want, but it's a great pedal for beginners. Tone is great for the price, but does seem to add a bit of static to the sound. The pedal came in a small cardboard box. Overall it's a good buy.

Works Great
I wanted a cheap effect pedal, and this works perfect. Shielded properly, and sounds great. It was honestly really great sound quality for the few bucks I paid for it. Honestly the ridiculously expensive pedals are way overpriced.

Used it twice, Died the third time
Used this pedal twice just to practice with, and it seemed fine. Didn't play it again for about 9 months while it sat on a shelf. Went to play it, now doesn't work. Power light comes on, works in bypass, but step on the switch, and nothing. I would not recommend anything that breaks while sitting in a box on a shelf.

Great distortion for people that are picky about distortion
You can’t get a better distortion pedal for 10 times as much money. It’ll do anything from chugging to classic rock.

A cheap pedal that sounds ok
This is reasonably good value for money but I didn't like the distorted sound it produced. I purchase a couple of other value distortion pedals and they can be setup to sound much better.

Going Seven Years, Now
My distortion pedal has outlasted quite a few power adaptors since August 2017 when I ordered it. It gives a gritty rock sound and cuts through quite well even with the tone knob at midway. I enjoy its sound and have never felt the need to upgrade throughout the countless recording sessions and online Church performances it and I have been through.

Almost perfect!
The pedal was super high quality, it has a lightweight, sturdy construction. It is quite small, which is good, because you can fit WAY more on your pedal board. My one real complaint is this doesn't accept 9V batteries and doesn't come with a power supply, which is understandable because that would increase the price on a steal of a deal. I'm gonna go find one and order a 9V to DC9V cord.
