It's a nice deep black but the first heat from my cricut mug press it got a little lighter and each time I heated the same mug it got a little lighter I use red and blk colors and I did see it slightly at room temp. If I used hot water from my dispenser or water faucet it turns a cream color but boiling hot water will turn it white ish. Glue from the sticky stuff will stay on mug. Mug itself comes with small lumps and pokeys. Also looks like it has smudges and won't come of but not noticeable unless you really looking in light. And I think it says changes color with cold, it does not. Could have been just mine with these issues but I gotta share my review. Hope it helps
