The Panther and Nine Other Amazing Short Stories

I was intrigued by W Salvage's stories, a well written description of the exotic far East with mystical creatures. Somewhat reminds me of Salvatore Dali. The book is written, with delightful stories that take you into an adventurous place in your mind. The world of imagining. Great book for children or adults. It’s a magical book.

I enjoyed all of the fables very much. I am a tutor and one activity involves reading to kids who haven't ever been read to or struggle with it. The 10 short stories reminded me a little of Aesop's Fables but with an international quality to it. I will begin tutoring this school year soon and will be going through the book again to develop lesson plans around it. I send best wishes to the author and encourage him to write another book as well.

I bought this book to help my friend who has cancer, after receiving it I decided to read it. It has 9 short stories and they are actually very interesting. I even read a few of them to my grandson at bedtime. My 26 yo son is now reading it. This book is great and the proceeds go to help the author pay for his medical treatment. Well worth the purchase!!

I gave this as a gift and the recipient loves it.

The typeface was huge, almost as if it was written for the visually impaired. Only a third of each page was used, the rest of the page was blank. I felt like II was reading a children’s book. Stories were just ok. Overall, I was a little disappointed. The other reviews had me thinking it would be better.

Excellent book filed with fables that takes you to different parts of the world, with different animals and situations that are very thought provoking. The author's writing enables one to easily visualize each character & situation.This book is for all ages & is enjoyable and relaxing will be giving it to my granddaughter who is an avid reader. I highly recommend it.

I often felt spellbound by W Salvage's stories, his artistryand depiction of the exotic far East, mystical creatures,Doctor Dog, and trees with queer twister branchesgrowing in the shapes of tigers having elements of thesurreal, which reminded me of the artist Salvador Dali.Because stories such as The Tongue-Cut Sparrow werefull of intrigue I couldn't wait to find out how theywould end, each and every one of them. The Man WhoNever laughed wonders what lies behind the door hehas been forbidden to open by his beautiful wife, awealthy queen in her land whom he married shortlyafter entering a world unlike anything he had seenbefore. Does his curiosity get the better of him?What lies behind the door?These were beautifully written, delightful storieswhich many children and adults would enjoy,I imagine. Perfect as birthday or Christmaspresents for children or adults who enjoy readingshort stories of an unusual and fascinating nature.I thoroughly recommend this book 100%.FIVE STARS
