For years, I was using bamboo skewers and soaking them in water before cooking. I had a few metal "coated" or "plated" skewers in the past, but they all started to chip at one point and I didnt think chipped metal was a good seasoning on meat, so I threw them out.I decided to give these a shot. Nice, basic, cheap, dishwasher safe, and stainless steel. I use these weekly for the past year with no problems at all. Some of the more expensive skewers sold at bed bath and beyond, home depot, or lowes, are on the larger side and have larger handles so I couldnt close my grilltop when using them and would lose heat. These are perfect because you can put whatever you want on them and throw them on the grill and close the grill lid. I use my normal grill tongs to flip the kabob.I will never use wood or bamboo skewers again.

These skewers are an excellent upgrade from the single-use bamboo skewers I used previously. An important feature is the flat steel rods. Because they are flat, it is much easier to turn the skewers over in order to cook evenly. My only complaint and suggestion for improvement is a small bend at the end of the skewer in order to ensure nothing falls off of the end. I didn't have this issue but there were a coupe close calls.

These are good but they are a little wide than what I'd prefer. The meat slides off easily prior to cooking, so you may want to make sure you're careful when placing your shishkebab on the grill - so the meat don't fall off. Other than that, I like them! No more soaking bamboo skewers AND no more burnt skewers either.

These are nice basic skewers. They are a little on the short side, which might be what you want depending on how you grill and the size of your grill. Overall, they do the job. A nice, simple impaler for kabobs and spiedes. Not long enough for toasting marshmallows and hot-dogs though, if that's more of what you are after.

I bought these months ago and only just used them for the first time last night.They are very simple, very easy to use and extremely easy to clean. The only drawback I could find to them is that they are so well made and smooth that the food tends to slide around on them very easily. I made small kabobs and when attempting to turn them over, the food tended to just spin around rather than turn over.Lesson learned: Next time, two skewers per kabob. Solved!

Purchased these to take camping and use on a grate over a fire to cook kabobs. Worked out well. Ran them through the dishwasher when we got back and some of the blackening from the fire didn't come off all the way so I just soaked them in vinegar and baking soda and they were as good as new. They are a decent size, longer than I expected and heavy duty. Easy to grab with tongs or with an oven mitt.

We are very happy with these skewers. The price is great, the ends sharp, there is a nice width that is small enough for a cherry tomato but sturdy enough for meat and veggie chunks. The length is good for a shish kabob or skewered vegetables. I just lay them on the grill grate and use tongs to turn, no need for one of the little boxes. Nice addition to the grill.

I like grilling and hate cleaning grill. So I am using a large rectangle concrete flower pot as a grill and these skewers fit across. These are better than any other skewers I have because they are sharp on the end and flat through the middle. This is good why? When you turn your product that skewered, it turns with the skewer. If you use a round skewer the product will rotate and spin on the grill and will end up with a burnt side and a raw side, and these are easy to keep clean and do not bend with heavy skewering.

They wash easy and are very durable much better then wood. I would buy them again.

Work great. Clean easily. No more bamboo skewers to buy.
