The colors are not nearly as vibrant as the advertising photos. I noticed other reviews indicated this in the comments. The red is more of a lighter orange red, but it is still very nice.I purchased the blue one first and decided to purchase the red one and return the blue. They are both one hour timers, but the blue doesn’t have enough sand in it to make it to an hour. That is mainly why I am returning the blue one. The red one times in at just over an hour. There are variations in the glass so maybe that is why some are filled more than others. The blue definitely needed more sand.Overall it is a nice product, but if you are looking for a deep vibrant red like that of the pictures you may be disappointed. For the price, I think it was worth it.

Good quality. not expensive.packaging sucks, after you clean up the mess of styrofoam and sand, clean up the item a bit it works and looks great.

For the money it is very nice and elegant. BUT, the wood ends are somewhat poorly sanded and mine had scratches on the stained wood finish. I was able to repair the scratches with a matching stain that I had at home... but I shouldn't have had to do that.

I bought this timer for my 4 year old son. I would like him to have 60 minutes of quiet time every afternoon. This is a good visual for him. Except it is not 60 minutes. It’s 30 minutes. Not long enough. I bought a pack of sand times for half this price. And that pack included a 30 minute timer. No need to waste over double the amount of money on this one particular timer.
