I should have bought this years ago when Blue Herons started coming around my fish pond and taking my fish. I used nets for a while but they are unsightly and they keep the frogs from enjoying the pond and the plastic owls are useless. After researching these repellers on Amazon I decided on this one for the fact that it not only has the ultrasonic sound waves that only animals hear but also has an audible sound that everything can hear. When I first set it up I used the small rodent, squirrell setting which unfortunately is also the setting to keep dogs and cats away. My 2 dogs reacted to whatever ultrasonic sound they heard and appeared uncomfortable so I now just keep it on the audible setting and do not use the ultrasonic setting. This audible sound has scared away a Heron twice already and a bonus is that we are not seeing squirrels in the yard and garden either so apparently the audible sound scares them away too but does not disturb my dogs. This device has settings that if you choose to have the ultrasonic and audible features on at the same time you can or just have on one or the other. I did not use the ground stake but rather zip tied it to a 5 foot tall pole with a hook. It activates with the slightest motion and also if the wind moves it because its mounted on the hook. I have it about 12 feet fom the fish pond and the motion sensor has a very wide angle. The audible sound is not obnoxiously loud but loud enough apparently to scare away the Herons.It is in a spot where enough sun shines on the rechargeable solar panel and I have not had to manually charge it since I bought it nearly a month ago.It has also been exposed to rain and that has not affected its performance.I would recommend this pest deterrent device and am also considering another one scare away stray cats from pooping in my front yard.

We were inundated with ground squirrels. The little rascals burrowed under our beautiful, paved driveway and created huge holes under the stone retaining wall (yes, we're in trouble when the rains come). I was hesitant to use poison fearing we might poison local birds, deer, raccoons etc. Much to my surprise, it's been 6 weeks and I have not seen any of our furry friends. It did take around 2 weeks for them to pack up and leave and there were many!! I highly recommend.

This item didn’t live up too manufacturers description. The animals were not deterred by the item.

it works good price… We had no more raccoons in my mango trees

I purchased two of these sonic repellers. Different brands. This one sucks. Seriously. But I missed my return window. ☹️

Didn't get rid of ground hogs, rabbits, or chipmunks but does keep the deer away. 🤔

The sound is slightly annoying, even with it a good 200 ft from the house, but it does work very well.
