Okay, let's talk about this. So, I was looking for a holder that would not have my phone placed in front of the air vent, hang lower versus higher AND would not swivel. This one was perfect. For reference, I drive a Lexus ES 350. It was extremely difficult to install this on my vent. I had to extend all the way and it's still really didn't fit well but I had to force it. That vent is now non-operable. The way that the clip has to sit in there, renders the vent powerless. For me, when I received my package, I knew this was exactly what I was looking for so it not fitting or working out was definitely not an option for me so I made it work. It is secure. Thankfully, I hardly have anyone else in my car so the fact that I can no longer adjust the vent in any way has not had that much of an effect on me yet. That is the major reason that I installed it on the vent on the passenger side and not the driver side as you will see in the photo.I included a photos in my review, You can see how it's perfect for the phone not blocking the vent. The magnet piece position is adjustable. I like mine lower but you can adjust to have the magnet piece on top if you want. The phone doesn't swivel, it stays in place which was very important to me. You can also change direction of the arm and it stays in place.It was pretty much almost exactly what I was looking for. Except for rendering my vent powerless but I am SURE it will be perfect for most vehicles.

I ordered this because the law went into affect in my state that you cannot hold your phone in your hand at all while driving! I was skeptical because I’ve had several of these things, and none of them were satisfactory. But this one really really works! The connection went simply for me yet I’m not very good with mechanical things . But the best feature is the magnet that holds your phone onto the device. It is so strong I really feel like my phone is safe. Plus it’s tiltable so I can see it from any angle and change the position, depending on the sun glare and vertical or horizontal display Just the right thing and far safer.
