Marvel Thor Legends Series 6-inch Nine Realms Warriors (Marvel’s Ares)

Ares is one of those characters I'm not to familiar with, but as a collector of Marvel Legends and fan of Thor, he's an excellent addition to the collection. He was released a few years back as a Build-A-Figure, and while I don't have that one to compare with, if I'm not mistaken this one has some differences and improvements. Aside from just having that cool factor going for him, he's pretty massive as far as Marvel Legends figures go. He measures about 7.25" without helmet, and about 8" with his helmet on.Well detailed, both sculpt and paint apps. Even though my copy has some minor paint issues, they are very minor and don't take away from the figure at all. Also well articulated, and overall great quality and solid feel. No lack of accessories with him either, aside from the removable helmet, he includes a huge sword as well as a huge battle axe, and also a dagger that can be placed into a functional sheath. I got lucky scoring him for $19.99 with prime shipping a couple months back, along with the gladiator Hulk Build-A-Figure pieces, he's a great value and worthy addition to a Marvel Legends collection, I'd recommend him!

No longer a BAF! So awesome except his head doesn't look to far up, but whatever he has a helmet! And a sword!

I had been waiting for a while to get my hands on an Ares, and i'm glad Hasbro re-released it. Some parts of articulation are a little outdated, but from what I've seen this newer one has better paint apps. The accessories are pretty neat as well.

Ares is badass, really not much needed other than that. the figure is fantastic! the face itself is not great, but the helmet is a fantastic way to fix that. Ares is ready to break stuff.

Mostly repaint and reused, but surprisingly satisfied. If you missed out on this former BAF character and you want to avoid collecting the repulsive old hasbro marvel legends now is your chance.

Awesome details and well enough articulation.Only issue is there is not double joint articulation. That seems ok.

I bought all 6 action figures in the series and hid them around my boyfriend's house. Now he has all 7 action figures.
