Flooded in a foot of water and nearly destroyed my GoPro.
Well I just returned from diving a shipwreck in Lake Erie. Anyone who has used dive housings for photo and video gear knows you submerge the housing slow in the water and then check it. Prior to leaving the boat, into the water, I checked the housing and my dive buddy double checked it. Everything was as it should've been. Before I got to the marker float the housing already had over an inch of water while being a foot under at the most. Given this is made to have an external battery piggy-backed on the camera, exposing the non-water proof connections, I could've easily lost my $500 camera over a poorly manufactured housing. I would not recommend anyone buy or use this housing or you risk destroying your camera. Claims to be rated to 45m in the description/details but flooded in a foot of water.

Cheaply made and leaks. Do not buy!!
I bought this specifically for diving due to the short battery layoff the GoPro Hero 6. Two days before my dive trip I decided to go Snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez with my family. The case, although property closed and locked, started taking on water. I was afraid my $500 camera would be ruined over this company’s failure to make a quality product. Thankfully my camera survived. I would not recommend anyone purchase this product if you value your camera.If you don’t know you need to remove the battery door on your GoPro to attach the extra battery sold with this case. With the door removed water can get into your camera which is the reason for concern with this cheaply made product.

I would not recommend this product
The battery kept causing my goPro Hero 6 to get hot and shut off. Also sometimes the battery would just shut off for no reason. I would not recommend this product...I'm returning mine for a refund...
