I came across ashwagandha whilst researching 'adrenal fatigue' and its associated symptoms. I'd been suffering with severe anxiety, brain fog, poor quality of sleep, low testosterone, poor gym recovery/progress……. the list goes on!I needed to restore balance to my endocrine function and normalise my cortisol. The daily pressures and stresses of modern life are not to be ignored and the chemical imbalances and hormone variances cortisol causes can have a profound impact on your physiology and mental health. Neurologically, cortisol permanently re-wires pathways and increases myolin sheathing which kind of gives you a constant 'fight/flight' feeling (anxiety). Good quality ashwagandha can reverse this over time.I'd been trialing another brand from Amazon, but its origins/traceability were 'woolly' to say the least as well as not being certified organic. There is also the issue around withanolide content and how this is measured. I'd been feeling 'some' improvements but was now curious about purity and the potential for more!I've been taking this product since the 14th August 2018 and wow…….what can I say……..I honestly feel better now than I have done in approx. 6 years, its literally changed my life, my training and ultimately saved my career, which I appreciate is a lot to pin on alternative medicine but hey, what did I have to lose?! I now feel physiologically harmonious (oooo errr!) Whether this is a placebo or truly biologically balancing, ultimately, I don't care! As it's a small price to pay to now feel the way I do. To add some control to this, I've been taking 100mg of sertraline for approx. 12 months, I'd felt 'some' improvements but nothing compared to this. The two combined have put me in such a strong position that I'm now looking to start reducing my sertraline over the next few months.I'm sleeping better, waking refreshed, my anxiety is pretty much none existent which has benefitted my career, personal life and just general wellbeing. Brain fog is no more and I'm generally a much more balanced happy soul! To add to this I'm seeing improvements in the gym, faster recovery, stronger, getting leaner and doing 10k mud runs (never ran in my life!).Do not waste your pennies on 'unknown brand' inferior products low withanolide content. Just get this one! I just hope they never run out…………!!

I have tried two other high dosage Ashwagandha supplements, but this one has to be the most effective. After about a week of taking this alongside Panax Ginseng, I have felt even calmer than I had on those other brands. This in turn has led to improved sleep quality, more energy and motivation throughout the day. In terms of smell and ease to swallow, it's very subtle and goes down easily.Note that this will vary depending on the person. If you are taking this to reduce anxiety, I advise also looking at making lifestyle changes and improvements in order to get things under control. Think of this as an aid, not a cure.

I have been taking LLS’s new Organic KSM-66® Ashwagandha for a month now. Having just returned from a visit to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, where it is very popular and to be found in tablet, capsule and root form in pharmacies and herbalists pretty much everywhere, I was interested to try it out. Like many plants used in Ayurveda, it has been used for thousands of years and is an adaptogen with an impressive list of potential benefits, many of them backed by scientific studies. The capsules are easy to swallow, have no taste and contain 500mg of organic root extract along with bioperine which, as with curcumin supplements, increases the bioavailability of the supplement.As I am not a “stressy” person (Brexit excepted), and so can’t comment on the effects of the supplement on stress, anxiety levels and depression. The possible beneficial effects of the root on growth and death of cancer cells, blood sugar levels, fertility and testosterone levels, muscle mass, brain function, inflammation and blood cholesterol/triglycerides make it a supplement well worth trying if these are areas of concern for you. If for example you have high blood cholesterol/triglycerides, given the bad press that statins often get, it would be well worth giving the supplement a chance to help you to reduce your levels, with a positive effect being evident in blood test results. The supplement is safe, with the usual provisos, and it might be worth looking at taking two capsules a day. This is because a lot of the research found that the best results were usually achieved by doses at the higher end of the range (100-1250mg).

I have tried two other brands of Ashwagandha but this is by far the superior and definitely worth the money. I have been taking one a day and not only has my quality of sleep improved but my ability to fall asleep and stay asleep for longer has also improved. The one thing that I was not expecting was that I feel calmer and more focused during the day and the ability to focus on my tasks at work have improved. I was not expecting this at all, so this is a real added bonus. If you feel unfocused and tired then definitely try this. This is my absolute favourite brand of supplements.

I purchased this as I suffer with stress and anxiety, especially at work and the reviews were very positive but unfortunately for me these had no impact at all. It's worth me adding that I've since purchased another brand of ashwagandha capsules and they didn't work for me either so I guess my issues are too severe for this type of supplement even after I increased the dosage.My 3 star rating is solely based on it not working for me. It came well packaged and presented and the capsules were easy to swallow with no bad after taste. I'm happy to read that it's helped others and wish it had for me.
