SperrySperry Men's Authentic Original 2-Eye

Another gift for our son. His old ones ( at least 5 years old if not older) were literally coming apart at the seams. The sole had torn off halfway down his foot. He was feeling the cold air coming in! So, we purchased a new pair for him. He always wears boat shoes. Only Sperry's. His last ones were a bit too big. I think these will work well for him. He just told me they're brand new, but will fit fine in a couple of days of all-day wear.11Wide.

My shoe of choice for casual wear for the last 6 years or so. Although some complain about declines in build and material quality, I haven't noticed much difference among the pairs I've owned. These tend to last quite awhile and clean up easily. I finally replaced my last pair after about two years once the sole started to detach itself on the back end, although at that point they were sorely in need of retiring anyways.I can't recommend these shoes enough - they're comfortable, look great, and well made. My only disclaimer is that the minimal cushioning can result in some sore feet if you spend the entire day walking (i.e. while traveling). And ironically, for "boat shoes", wet traction on anything but a roughened surface is pretty poor.

I've been wearing Sperry Topsiders for awhile. Usually I get a year or two out of them before the threads holding the uppers to the sole wear through and leave the toe flopping around. By then the uppers are pretty worn-looking and I don't mind replacing them. I bought the tan with white soles this time (usually tan with gum soles) and quality was worse than usual. This time, the rubber on the sole itself tore, releasing the threads that hold the upper to the sole, essentially tearing the front of the sole off of the shoe. This happened after fewer than 10 wears, mostly walking to and from the office from the parking garage.Maybe it's the white sole that's different because I've never had that problem with gum soles. Maybe it's just this pair because this particular failure has never happened with the others that I've owned. Whatever the case, something has changed with recent manufacturing and I wish it would be unchanged. Pity that you can't trust that the quality is what it used to be, especially as the cost of the shoes has risen significantly over the last decade or so.

Shoes were fine, just to small. Why is it double the cost for a half size difference. I need a size 12. Otherwise, product was fine.

This shoe was exactly what i was searching for and could not find in local shoes stores. Great value. This shoe was at least 60% cheaper than what I was told it would cost retail.

Just got them today and immediately wore them.I have been buying Top Siders since the 1980's. They fit perfectly, can wear without socks. The leather is soft and comfortable. I wear them in the winter and summer, long pants and shorts.You can wear them all day without any discomfort. They are deck shoes so they are very stable on wet surfaces.If you are looking for a great shoe for both casual and semi casual wear you can't go wrong with Sperry Top Siders.

Loving them so far. Replacing an older pair of A/Os that I got about 7 years out of. I recommend sizing a half-size down from your normal footwear assuming you'll be wearing them without socks. The Oatmeal color is a great casual color that isn't overly preppy looking. Really comfortable after an over-night soak in salt water (put them on immediately and wear until dry) and some massaging of the heels to break down the tough part of the leather likely to give your blisters. Can be worn with chino sorts, jeans, or slacks. Recommend taking a day between wears to ensure they dry out properly. You'll extend the life of them that way. Wish these were about $30 cheaper, though.

This is a great house shoe for me. Fit is true to size and I can add my arch supports with no problem. Well made sturdy shoe.
