Brilliant and such a cool dvd

Classic film with a brilliant story as well. Keanu reeves is 'Johnny utah' who is a young and ambitious policeman. His superior is Gary Busey who is known to be a bit of a mess up in the department where he works. Reeves goes undercover to try and ascertain who the 'presidents' are that are robbing banks.I am not going to give anything away other than to say that this is an absolutely brilliant film that put Keanu Reeves on the map as an actor. His opposite number is played by the late (and great) Patrick Swayze and between them, they make the film a joy to watch. For those of you who have seen this before then you know how good it is. For those who have never seen it, then I would urge you to give it a go. I know that a remake of this classic has been made, and I have never seen it. This is because I feel that a film this great can not be surpassed.

How have I not seen this until now? With the remake hitting the cinemas I thought I would catch the original as my memory of it was quite vague, well it turns out that was because I've never seen it! The story may be a little silly in places (especially the ending) but ultimately it is a fun and enjoyable movie. Patrick Swayze especially stood out for me as his character is a whole world apart from anything I have ever seen him play before. This is certainly a film I will go back to and the remake has a lot to live up to.

Good film

Great movie. It's a classic. The storyline goes like this they are surfers but have a different job in the winter. Sorry I didn't want spoil it if you have seen it before. But most people have though.Even better because it's Bluray version.Definitely one to collect.

Amazing film.....that's my reviewCan anyone confirm if this US import is encoded regions A,B,C I brought this US import version called the "extreme adrenaline version" but to my surprise it was only encoded region ASo like an idiot I updated my philips bdp2500 and wiped my bluray hack which got on my nerves abit as 1) No one else to my knowledge has achieved a bluray hack with this player yet2) I forgot what code I typed and can't be bothered to work it out again.I will be buying a multi region player but not for another month or so....

Mr. Swayze’s charisma & charm come through like Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing. Nice surfing footage to add appeal with Keanu back when he was clean cut…eye candy!

I LOVE this movie! One of Keanu Reeves' absolute BEST! The whole cast is fantastic! Reeves, Gary Busey, Patrick Swayze, Lori Petty and cameos by Tom Sizemore and John McGinley and Anthony Keidis from the red hot chili peppers. This movie made me a HUGE fan of Katherine Bigelow's direction. Tho I feel she's become a bit more serious in recent outings and would like to see her return to more fun escapist fare like this. If, tho I don't see how, you've not seen this, or even if you have, pick it up and watch it again, it's 100 percent pure adrenaline!

Un des meilleurs films d'action de l'Histoire avec un superbe casting . Keanu Reeves et Patrick Swayze sont aussi bons l'un que l'autre , et les seconds rôles sont également très bien interprétés . Scénario haletant , scènes d'action spectaculaires , ambiance très Californienne , réalisation impeccable , dynamique et très moderne pour son époque . Un film devenu culte . Un véritable classique qui aura fait de Keanu Reeves la nouvelle superstar d'hollywood . . A voir et posséder absolument .
