Trustworthy Bag
Self healing injection port is working solid, no contams 3 weeks post injection- which also points to the fact that they autoclaved this thing well. It's been well over a month since I got it and that means it's probably been a month and a week since it was packed. The price is a steal for the work I avoided, and considering how little output I do it's just easier. North Spore is solid and they've been in the game for years, I wouldn't shave off a couple dollars to get a version that I would even have to worry about mold with. It was good to go out of the box, just unfold it gently and don't get your filter wet. I don't know if it's waterproof, I always assume no. Oh, no big moisture spots or visible dryness either if you're worried about that.

Great Quality Spawn Bag – Perfect for Growing Lion’s Mane
This sterilized, hydrated grain spawn bag worked perfectly for my lion’s mane mushroom grow! It arrived well-sealed, clean, and fully hydrated—ready to inoculate right out of the box. Colonization was fast and even, and I got a great yield. Super convenient and reliable for home cultivation. Highly recommend for any mushroom grower!

I trust North Spore. Plain and simple.
Haven't had a problem with a bag yet! I've been able to colonize and spawn to bulk with every single one. I will say this, North Spore is a brand i trust. There's plenty of other bigger and cheaper grain bags on here..but I know this works, it's clean, and if there is ever a problem, North Spore will take care of it. Not if you inoculated and nothing grew...im talking about if the grains don't look right, the bag isnt vacuum sealed, or it smells bad. Quality is 10/10. It does its magic thing every single time :)

Dry as hell! (Edited!)
Completely new cultivator here, didn't really know any better until I bought a different brand of bag. The bags I bought (3) were dry as a bone compared to the ones I just opened. It is winter, cold and dry where I'm at right now so I don't want to leave a one star. Very well packaged, pretty looking bags, didn't see or feel any holes and no visible soaking of the grain when they were cleaned with alcohol so I assumed it was all good. The bags I got have grain that is damp with moisture. Might be too much, I don't know, but with how these ones were very dry and loose makes me think they were too dry. Two weeks with not a speck of mycelium here. Maybe in the summer I'll try them again, I do think most of the problem is the dry conditions here, but again competition was packaged in such a way that the moisture was retained so I'm inclined to believe it could be applied here too. Edit!: Hey! Not too proud to admit when I was wrong. After modifying my setup a bit, im starting to see growth! Evidently I don't know what the hell im talking about. Cheers, and sorry about being an idiot!

Waste of Time and Money
Let the buyer beware. Shipments were delayed. I went above and beyond to verify bags maintained sterility, from the moment I received both bags until 1 month later when both bags showed to be contaminated. Waste of money, 6 weeks time, and spore syringe...only to start again. No contamination with spores from the same lot used with Evviva Sciences grain bags (identical growing conditions). There is a reason they are out of stock-it's not demand.

Excellent
The only grain I will buy. Nice and tightly packed with fresh hydrated and sterile millet. I inoculated it with a spore syringe from a reputable supplier. Set the temp to 77, and let it sit in the dark cozy closet. I was careful to minimize possibility of contam. Sprayed the bag all over w alcohol first thing. Applied fire to the syringe. Sprayed the grow room w isopropyl alcohol too. You cant do too much sterilizing. Use sterile gloves if you have them. Mycelium noticeable in a week. Spreads rapidly. After the second week, I had about 2 pounds of pure, fresh fluffy mycelium. Went on to grow the biggest flush ever in a monotub. Happy growing!

Very Fast Colonization!
Good stuff. I innoculated my grain bag on feb 30th and It was fully colonized on march 9th. I was shocked how fast it was fully colonized. Overall if you have the extra money to throw around this is some good grain to use. But if you don't it's not necessary when mycolabs has grain jars 3 pack for 28$. Vendors also sell drippy corn 10$ for a 3lb bag. Really hope north spore can get the pricing down per bag but overall good experience 👍

Mostly sterile!
I found the moisture content to be good, the mycelium seems very happy so far, and I waited a couple weeks before inoculating to ensure they came sterile. The product received 4 stars instead of 5 only because one of my eight bags came contaminated and has an interesting fungus growing in it thus preventing me from safely inoculating that bag. 7/8 is pretty good though! And I’ll get myself a pressure cooker and an autoclave one day when I can afford upgrading my equipment for at-home sterilization. All in all I was very pleased with my first grow! *I did not contact north spore regarding the one contaminated bag. Maybe they would replace it, but there’s no solid promise in the product description of replacement, so I chose to take on the loss. 🤷♂️*
