Enabled me to fix my fan on top of my wood burning stove
I’m quite pleased that I was able to fix my stove fan with one of these. Why throw away a perfectly good fan when you can fix it with this component? And I still have another TEC1 for backup since this is a two-pack. The package came with thermal paste, which I did not know, or I wouldn’t have ordered a package of it separately! I think my old TEC1-12706 went bad after some years from overheating. I believe it’s rated to only 600 degrees F, and I had the stovetop hotter than that at times.

Work Great, Require Extra Components
For those of you that know how Peltier thermo-electric cooler works, you're all set! These work well. For the rest...When powered up, this device produces a temperature differential on each side. One side gets extremely hot while the other side get extremely cold. This Peltier is rated at 12V and will draw just under 5 A at full voltage. When using this, the heat MUST be dissipated, or the cold side will start to warm up. If the heat is not dissipated fast enough, the device could burn up and stop working. You will want to have a heatsink at least large enough to cover the surface of the Peltier. Bigger is ok too. Having a heatsink that can mount a fan is even better. Use a 12V fan so that you will not need to introduce extra circuit components such as a buck converter to change voltage.I also ran this at 5V and found that it still got cold but did not produce as much heat on the hot side. Even at a lower voltage without a heatsink, the cool side slowly warmed up so a heatsink is necessary. Using the device at a lower voltage will require a smaller heatsink and perhaps could be done without a fan. If you use a fan, remember to match the fan voltage to the Peltier voltage for easy wiring. The package includes thermal paste that can be used on both sides. Depending on what you use this for you may need to purchase more thermal paste. Mount the device you want to cool to the cool side of the pad with thermal paste and then mount your heatsink and fan to the other side.Printed Side = Cold SideBlank Side = Hot SideWorks as stated, but word of warning, if you do not heat sink this appropriately it will burn up.

Works perfect
When my plug in cooler stopped working I disassembled it and got this part number off the Peltier device. After assembly the cooler is working like new. Very simple to install, user friendly, and it will save you hundreds of dollars not buying a new cooler.

Out of 10, 2 are DOA & 3 are at 12V 2amp not 12V 6amp.
Not much more to say other than it's a 50/50 chance their product is what you're paying for or working.
