Look What I Did with a Leaf! (Naturecraft)

If you are looking for a wonderful book to share with kids regarding creative things to do with leaves in the fall, this is it. Have used it as an extra credit artsy yet somewhat science related project for the classroom for years and most students really enjoy it. Actually, a local library once even displayed their art as a showcase exhibit!

My six year old grandson loved this book. Even better than the craft projects in got him outdoors to take long nature walks to collect leaves.

This book offers several suggestions of pictures that can be made from leaves. Detailed pictures show the kind and size of leaves that could be used. The pictures range from simple to very detailed. The reader is also told how to prepare leaves for making them into pictures. Very informative and something fun to do with the colorful fall leaves.

I bought this for myself and I'm sure not a kid. I found it interesting in spite of its obviously being aimed at younger folks. I even learned a couple of things about how trees work! There are also lots of pictures of leaf animals to which I may actually refer sometime for my various crafts. I think the pictures are all in color, by the way.I highly recommend this book to anyone of any age.

I'm surprised this book is not more famous than it is. I only learned about it because I saw it at a friend's house. So I had a chance to flip through it before purchasing it. Once I flipped through it I had to order one for myself. The content is so original and the directions are clear and concise. The author is really talented and comes up with some wonderful ideas. I highly recommend this, don't hesitate.

I really love this book. Even though we live in south florida & a lot of the leaves can't be found here, the book shows you how you can use similarly shaped leaves to create the art work. If your child loves nature & art it's a great book with simple instructions & all the materials you need are free, all you have to do is walk outside!

This book is a wonderful how-to-book for using leaves in a creative way. The illustrations are exquisite and the instructions are complete. I look forward to sharing this book with my granddaughter. I would imagine that other adults would enjoy reading and trying out the techniques with a particular child.

Excellent. Engaging both for young and elementary age kids. My 5 year old was very excited to make art with leaves, and her older sisiter chimed in too.

I ordered this book to use for my classroom. It came in at the perfect time and has such great ideas. The kids loved it.
