and people who watch my stream say this definitely sounds better than that mic did
I am a streamer and podcaster and this mic has been a godsend. I upgraded from a Blue Snowball Ice mic, and people who watch my stream say this definitely sounds better than that mic did. I like how you can choose the different patterns so you can pick up audio on either side of the mic or all directions. I mainly use the cardiod pattern but sometimes use the one for both sides so that you can hear the music from my turntable that's on the other side of the mic. It's very easy to setup and sounds great. If you're a streamer, I recommend you download Voicemeteer Banana, which is free, because it will help you get the most out of this mic. The mic out of the box is very sensitive, it picks up the tiniest sound. Voicemeteer will allow you to setup a "noise gate" that will allow you to make it where only you speaking (or something of that volume level) will activate the mic and push sound through to your stream/podcast. I have the mic connected to a mic arm that's attached to my desk, but the included stand would work very well also, and feels very high quality. I liked the red color, and it looks nice hanging above my desk. It's so nice that I often try to get it in the webcam video of me that I push on my stream. In short, you can't go wrong getting this mic for anything. I've even used it when I dabbled in music making. It picks up my voice better than a standard mic I have did (Sennheiser XS1) in Reason 10 music software. 5 stars!

If you've been looking for a mic for the past 6 months and you're just confused as hell, stop here, purchase this!
This thing... Oh.My.God!! is amazing!I bought a lot of high end stuff for my pc, a lot of expensive stuff, but I was never as impressed and surprised with an item as I am with this. When I first paid the $130 I was a bit worried that it wouldn't live up to its price point, but dude.. Woahahahaha it's so freakin' good! I really can sit here and talk about how good it is tell tomorrow, so I'm gonna try and make it short: - Every material and every part of thing is very high quality, you will not have to worry about that. - It's heavy with its stand so it sits there and will not be knocked out or moved easily. - You can connect your headphones to it and it'll become your main audio output if you desire, which I didn't know and I'm blown away with. If you choose to do so, you'll be able to hear everything around you directly from your headphones, and in real time, with regular mic setups the delay is unbearable. (This could be so fun to hear your self and hear little details that you otherwise cannot hear :X) - You can easily mount any mic filter/pad to it, I can see a lot of ways for doing so. - The Mini-USB cable that comes with it is the thiccest cable and the longest Mini-USB cable I've ever seen. - And finally, it looks really really really good, it makes your setup look 10 times better!

This is a Great Microphone to Purchase
I began recording and producing a new podcast last month, and the microphone I had at the time didn't have the right specs to sound very high quality. So I asked around and discovered Blue Yeti having high quality. From the first time I used it, there was immediate change in the production value of my podcast. There is a setting that is recommended for podcasts because of the way the sound is recorded. This makes a big difference for when the sound is compressed into an MP3 for upload purposes. The sound is crisp and very high quality, which is helpful because many users like to listen on their phones, and high quality work sounds better in that format. So if you are wanting to start a new podcast too, this microphone is really good to have. The investment in my opinion is worth it.

Best mic in existence for me so far
Have uses for about 2 weeks so far and the microphone is beautiful the sound quality comes in many forms and it comes in many decibels. I love hearing myself when I talk on this microphone and I just love the power gives me it gives me motivation and it just represents how much I love doing what I love. I played around with the mic and found the settings that I really like and I position the mic in many different ways and I love to just put it in my face and mess around with it. I recommend this to anyone for their starter Mike or that one of Mike that really will make them stand out.

Works well after 1 year of service. Buzzing problem solved by physical pulling.
The microphone works well for me. WIth this mic, I found sources of noise I had never noticed before that became very apparent in recordings made with this mic (power supply transformers, a wall clock, computer fans, a refrigerator a few rooms away). I mostly use the mic to record my own voice and so I find operating with the dial set to "cardoid" to be the best way to use the mic.The only issue I have had with this microphone is an electronic buzzing noise that appeared in audio I recorded in Audacity using this microphone (like a lower-pitched version of what old cathode-ray TVs sounded like when running). The problem got worse when I pressed down on the volume dial or tightened one of the two mounting screws on the sides. I found a solution to be to physically pull on the volume dial. The buzzing would fall to inaudible levels when I did this. Actually, while trying to make sure I'd never hear the buzzing again, I pulled too hard on the dial and it popped off the coupling shaft (the other end of the shaft remained attached to the potentiometer (?) soldered to the internal circuit board) but the force required to slide the dial back onto the shaft securely didn't cause the noise to return. You might try such steps if you find this buzzing noise to be appearing in your recordings.I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for a high quality mic consider this one (with the caveat that I'm not an audiophile or professional sound person).

Very great quality
This mic is very high-quality and won't disappoint you. It's worth it, even if the price seems pretty steep at first glance, when you finally use it, you understand why. The only gripe I had with it was it was a bit bulky for my little desk, but there's nano versions. Overall, easy to setup and great overall.

OMG!
No te arrepentirás.

One of the very best.
One of the very best microphones out there. Period. I was confused at first between this one and Audio Technica but finally went for this one because I was looking for mic with a stand which can be placed on the table. Great for gaming, streaming, interviewing, podcasting.Pros -1. Solid build quality, the best I have seen so far.2. Very nice color, it's not that much bright red as shown in the picture but a deep and rich red which simply awesome looking.3. Excellent capture capability.4. Simple to setup and use. Just plug and use. No need for any software or driver.5. Switch to different mode is very easy thanks to dedicated mode selector knob.6. Included 3.5 mm is powerful enough to drive high impedance headphones. I have tested with my 80 ohm Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro and it delivers excellent sound.7. Seperate microphone mute button is a great addition.Cons -1. A bit expensive.2. Hate the blue light on the mute button. It's super bright to my liking.
