Devi's Bliss: a story of Noelle Paperback – October 26, 2016

Noelle is a sensual massage therapist for Devil’s Bliss and is trying to save money to open a bar while being responsible for her 17 year old brother and keeping him out of trouble. There is an instant attraction between her and her new client Mr. R, Dalt, and he asks her to pose for him as she is an artist. She agrees for financial reasons however she is not looking to get involved with anyone. After her first session she agrees to go on a date however a family emergency forced her to cancel and she backs away as she has never had anyway to help her with her problems. Will Noelle realize that Dalt is worth the chance before it is too late? This is written from Noelle’s POV and does end up with a bit of a cliffhanger however the cliffhanger is not to do with Noelle and Dalt so it doesn’t affect the story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I enjoyed this storyline. Both author and series are new to me. This story made me want to continue on and find out what happens in each persons life. While there is no cliffhanger (thank god) the storyline flows and you get a peak into the rest of the cast.

As in all good series, the ending is a cliff hanger. I wounder if I guessed the right answer?

Not a stand-alone book in a series

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for honest review.**This spicy novella even started on a naughty streak with a sensual massage appointment in which we are introduced to our star couple who waste no time in finding their 'happy ending'. Get it? *snicker* The digital pages are immediately steamed up with the couple's instant chemistry.I haven't read any of the other Devi's Bliss books, so I wasn't familiar with Noelle or any of the supporting characters. However, her story was told easily enough without overdoing it with tedious backstory. We get straight into the action.Dalt was a bit of a stranger to me for most of this novella. This is one of those cases where I think dual POV would have been a benefit to the reader. In such a short amount of time, it is hard to connect with a character that you don't see nearly as often as the other. But what I did see of Dalt, I liked. I just wanted more of him.The younger brother side story was interesting enough. At times, I think it did take too much attention away from the romance building between Dalt and Noelle. But again, this isn't very surprising considering this was a novella. In a full novel, the side story probably wouldn't have felt as heavy of an element. Pacing was fair and the love scenes were entertaining. I had no problem rooting for this couple!In closing...A quick and light read! I would definitely consider reading more titles from this author. She even has a new client, Mr. R, who wants to help her achieve her dreams in the near future, you know, like tomorrow. Unfortunately, two things stand on her way: her younger brother Mikey's shenanigans, and her own perceptions of how things must be.Can she overcome the obstacles in her path and realize not only her business dream, but the dream in her heart? Well, let me tell you... Just kidding! No spoilers here! =)Mika did a great job of telling her story with an unusual setting, and she was able to accomplish it without being raunchy. There wasn't much buildup, but it was, after all, a bit of a whirlwind romance. I do have a few questions after finishing, and I hope they'll be answered in the next book.I give this book 3.5 stars. While it was entertaining, I'm still not sure as to how this romance will develop, but, if you're in the market for a quick, erotic romance, then look no further.

As a reader who received this book free in exchange for a truthful review, that is what you will get. I very much enjoyed the story,plot, the style of writing and the way the end left you satisfied but intrigued to read more which comes in a series of short novellas. Based around a massage parlor with extras, from the owner to the other girls working in this salon they have a family type relationship. This first novella centers on Noelle a young massage therapist who has centered her life around her younger brother, she has custody of, who gets into trouble a lot. She dreams of one day opening a tavern, something small and warm and inviting. Along comes a gorgeous customer who wants to date her but that is not in her plans. She feels all he energy needs to go toward her brother, her job and her dream. The customer is not easily deterred from his desire to have a relationship with Noelle and begins to think of ways to get her to her goals faster so she will let him into her life. And of course to encourage you to want more there is a cliffhanger at the end. I very much enjoyed reading this book and will continue to read the stories to follow. I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn’t have a problem a story with sex in it. I only wish the book was longer!

A really nice short story and has encouraged me to read more of her books. A good introduction to see whether you like her style of writing. I do :)
