Add 6 washers and it fits perfectly.
Let me start off by saying, yes, all the reviewers on youtube are right, these don't quite align with the cowl hole. The solution is to slide three washers, on each side, between the stem of the bottom plate and the crash bar as you install the hex bolt. This slightly rotates the mount coming off the side of the bike forward just enough that the shroud will fit perfecting into the space on the cowl.As for the little L shaped plastic tab at the front inside of the cowl, use a flat head screwdriver and very very carefully pull it toward the front of the bike as you push it into the slot. If you break it, it's not the end of the world. The other option is to very carefully cut off half of the tabs tip so that it can be wiggled in to place easier.Other than those two things, it works great. Looks like it came out of the factory, unlike the other popular highway pegs that dangle off the bottom of the bike like someone playing pin the foot peg on the donkey.

Look like OEM
Very expensive hwy pegs, but I like them.

Decent highway pegs.
The title of this review is only what I could think of to say without sounding like it is amazing and not sounding like it is horrible.I purchased and installed these on my 23 Goldwing roughly 3 weeks ago and put around 1,000 miles on them. Based on the product you get, I think the money you spend on them is a bit too much. The build quality is not what I remember from other Kuryakyn products I have purchased in the past. These pegs feel cheap and the metal used is bottom shelf.Installation was straightforward, and I did not run into any issues getting them mounted to the bike's crash guard. When installing them, I had one of the small screws holding the plastic port cover break on me when applying the suggested torque spec.I have selected comfort as a 3 just due to a couple of reasons. There is a ton of adjustability for this product, however, if you put the pegs below the center line of the mounting point you will drag them on soft corners. Setting the pegs higher and it feels like how a grizzley looks riding a tricycle. Thus far I have adjusted the pegs 5 or 6 times to try and find the spot that will offer me the most comfort and have not found it. If you are a hard rider and can corner hard with your motorcycle, you will likely drag the pegs on harder corners at speed.I am disappointed with this purchase, I thought the build quality would be better and they would offer the comfort I expected. The only two notes I have positive is install was easy and they look good, or did until I drug them on the pavement a few times.
