The bracket is well made, strong, good color.... the straight slot screws are not what I would have expected. Phillips head screws would have been more 21st centry

This hardware is good for the purpose and the rustic style I was looking for.I give 5-stars to the brackets.Considering the screws were an extra, I had to change the slot screws because were not able to handle the torque and were short (3/4" or max 7/8"). Since these brackets are a support for safety I wanted to attached them thru the drywall into the studs.

My railing was getting shaky, literally, and knew it was the supports that I had used to mount it on the wall, wrong ones. I installed these handrail brackets and it is now secure, as it should be. Very sturdy without any movement at all which is how a railing to be safe should be. Strong brackets made the difference as these have.

Product is strong and well finished. The handrail is now rock solid! They arrived quickly and were easy to mount. The rail now stands well clear of the wall and very stable. I is a vast improvement in secure stair use.MY issue with mounting was NOT related to the product but to the wall structure in my building.

First, the screw into the wall are flat head. No fun. Second the ones into the wood are also flat head and broke off when trying to install into red oak. Had to replace all screws
