it's a good stand. I thought it was all metal. the flat part that you put your music is plastic. just be aware of that.

It was not what I expected. Very flimsy plastic. I wouldn't have purchased.if I had seen in a store.

I opened the box it came in without any expectations and when I pulled out the tripod feet, I was really impressed with the sturdiness and thickness of the metal and how far out the feet protruded which increases the stability of the unit. The rubber feet coverings prevented marring/scratching my floors and prevented slipping. The head of the stand where the tray gets mounted to is also quite sturdy. The weak part of the stand would be the extension piece and the screw locking mechanism. While they adequately hold and support the stand and tray, the sturdiness didn't quite compare to the level provided by the bottom and top pieces so could be improved.The tray is nice - foldable for travel but sturdy and easily adjustable when mounted. The included clips mounted on the tray can be useful for some people and for some use cases but I am not sure if they will get in the way during use as they came mounted pretty tight. Fortunately, they are easily removed or adjusted using a Phillips head screwdriver. I would prefer a slightly taller tray for larger music books but a larger tray negatively impacts portability. Trade-offs...The specs and description match what is listed on Amazon. While the stand comes with an instruction page, it really wasn't needed as setup and teardown were quick and easy. It does come with a book clip and a page holder - both of which seem of quite high quality for the price of the unit. The clip opened and closed precisely without any wiggling and the page holder is made of some sort of polished metal giving it a somewhat expensive feel. The case is also made of sturdy material. It is thicker than the case I have for my old stand. I can't vouch for how well it will perform yet until after some use but I don't anticipate any issues with it.Overall, this is a very good music stand for the price. Sturdy enough to be used as a dedicated music stand and light/small enough to be a traveling one. I look forward to using it for hopefully a very long time and will update this review should I encounter anything noteworthy during long-term use.One additional thing to note is that I communicated with the seller with questions and am happy for the quick, helpful, and courteous response provided.

For the price this is a good music stand. Not as sturdy as the more expensive ones but there is a trade off for portability. Comes with a nice case.
