Works with Oculus Quest Link
I bought this for Oculus Quest link to PC. It didn't work at first, but keep in mind that this USB C port is not bi-directional. It matters which way you plug it in. If it doesn't detect the quest, try flipping the connector over and reconnecting. You may need to do this on both the PC port and Oculus port. Worked great once I did that.

Works great in Linux Mint 20.04
Although the instructions say it's not supported on Linux, it does work just fine. Mint auto-loaded the drivers with no problem. Also, the instructions say that it requires the SATA to MOLEX power adapter has to be connected, it does not unless you need to run a USB-powered device. I'm just using it to connect to an externally powered USB drive, so it was a good surprise. Dell R710 doesn't have anywhere to plug the connector in, so wasn't sure if it would work.Drive is running fantastically faster than it did connected to the USB 2.0 that's built into the R710.

and speed isn’t the best. I’m not sure if it is just my ...
Devices still have issues, and speed isn’t the best. I’m not sure if it is just my mother board or this card.

Great for Windows 10 and 2018 iPad Pros
This installed easily and was recognized instantly by Windows 10. Coming with a SATA power cable was a plus. Got this to speed up data transfers and provide power to my 2018 11" 512 GB and 12.9" 1TB iPad Pros. 10GB data transfer speeds and power to both iPad Pros work great while connected to both 3.1 USB C and Type A ports. Couldn't be happier.

Doesn't work with Oculus Quest
I bought this to connect to my Oculus Quest which uses USB-C and is based on Android. The card installed easily with Microsoft Drivers. Problem is that it would not detect the USB-C device; it kept trying but would not connect. I was able to connect the Quest to USB 3 using a USB-A adapter so I knew the headset was working. I updated drivers from website, but same behavior.

Design Flaw and terrible Write/Reads Speeds
I wanted to have a USB 3.1 Gen 2 USB controller in my desktop to operate at fast speeds with my Western Digital 1TB My Passport SSD which is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 device. The inateck KT2001 card arrived yesterday and I was able to install it in the evening – my motherboard is a high end ASUS Z170- Deluxe, one year old, latest BIOS. Install was a breeze, of course I connected power to the SATA power port on this card. I am using Windows 10 Prof. latest public release (Version 1703 Build 15063.632). The card was recognized immediately and the device manager showed the device accordingly (Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub) with drivers dated 4/11/2016 Version 1.16.35.1. It seems like it is the same driver version Inateck offers on their website for download. Connected my 1TB SSD Passport drive, recognized and working. So far so good but now it comes, write speed is about 180 MB/s and Read about 140 MB/s. If I connect the same drive same cable to one of the USB 3.0 (or 3.1 Gen 1) ports of my desktop the write speed is 300 MB/s and read even faster. This is not at all what I expected, I expected considerably faster speed then what I already have but not slower... What a disappointment. One other thing I have to complain about is the layout of this card, please see the picture – the USB-C port is not in the middle so there is no way to get a USB-C plug in there all the way since there is the case in the way preventing that so the USB-C port is unusable for me, very poor design. The USB-A port is fine located in the middle of the side face. Very disappointed with this USB 3.1 Gen 2 PCI Express Card.Update 10/7/2017: Updated my review to one star because of Inateck support insulting answer 1. asking me to use the driver on their website, if they would have ready this feedback they would know I already tried this and 2. they wrote: "By the way, the type C port is not designed in the middle. It is in the same line with the type A port. Do you accept this?" No I cannot accept this since everyone can see on the pictures that this port is vertically located off center of the side face plate. Please look at your own card!

A must-have for Oculus Rift S on older (PCIe-2.0) PCs
KT2001 is a must-have USB 3.0 card to resolve Rift S "Sensors can't track headset" error on older - USB 2.0 and PCIe 2.0 only motherboards (pre-PCIe 3.0). Many other USB 3.0/3.1 cards are single-lane (!!) ("PCIe x1" - a short connector to plug into a PCIe slot), so while are identified "compatible" will only achieve required camera-sensors throughput in newer PCIe 3.0 computers. KT2001 is a PCIe x4 (a longer motherboard connector), so sustains the USB 3.0 data-rates (<5GBps) in older/slower PCIe 2.0. It has Asmedia ASM1142 chip that (as of today) is on the Rift-S' USB white-list. IMPORTANT: to achieve right speeds and pass the Oculus app configuration, Asmedia's native drivers need to be installed (!!) (eg, download from their support site, do not worry that the driver is from 2016), the sensor check will fail with the default Win 10 Microsoft driver. Good luck!
