It moves like you do. The 4moms mamaRoo 4 infant seat bounces up and down and sways from side to side, just like parents do when comforting their baby. Select from five unique motions, like car ride and tree swing, and five different speeds. Choose from four built-in sounds or connect it to any MP3 player. The seat reclines to multiple positions to allow baby to lie back and relax or sit up and play. The mamaRoo is also Bluetooth enabled so you can control the motion, sound, speed and volume from your compatible smart device without disturbing baby! The overhead toy mobile now includes interactive, reversible toy balls. Keep baby’s attention with the sound of the crinkle ball, rattle or reflective mirror ball. Compatibility: The 4moms app for iOS is compatible with all Apple devices newer than the iPhone 4s that are running iOS 9 or newer. The native Android app is compatible with most Android devices that support Bluetooth Low Energy and are running Android 4.3 or newer. The mamaRoo is an infant seat used to comfort, soothe and entertain your baby. It is not a sleeper, nor intended for overnight sleep, since it is neither a flat surface (there is always a slight recline), nor a firm surface, as recommended by pediatricians. Never leave your child unattended.

He hated the swing and would wake up as soon as we put him down
The reason I was able to workout and shower in peace today is brought to you by this purchase , if you have to sell your soul to afford this , it’s worth every penny . Only complaint is that you have to hook up your phone to it with a cord to play your personal music , even tho there is Bluetooth for the app to control the modes .

Great product, broke the first week, TERRIBLE customer service
Here is my letter to 4 moms customer service which pretty much sums up how I feel about this thing right now.I bought my mamaroo (through Amazon) a week or so ago. Good news! My baby loved it! Put her right to sleep and soothed her upset cries.Bad news? It stopped working 3 days after we bought it. When you turn it on the timer goes from 0-1 and jerks and stops. Needless to say, after spending a significant amount of money on the most expensive baby swing available and mid-colic bout we were less than thrilled. To add insult to injury, trying to get a hold of anyone to help us quickly proved futile. Both working full time and living in California made your hours of 9-430pm EST an exercise in absolute frustration. This compounded with the fact that when we were actually able to get a hold of someone (my husband called on his lunch break), we were asked to "take a video of the issue" and send it to customer care and they would "review the issue and get back to us". Are you kidding me?!!!!!????1. The first issue is that trying to video on your phone while simultaneously activating it on your phone (which is the only way at this point it even turns on) is IMPOSSIBLE.2. Again... ARE YOU KIDDING me??!!! We have owned it less than two weeks. It breaks immediately. We spent in excess of $225 on a baby swing. When we finally reach customer care they give us the run around with more tasks for already exhausted and upset parents of an infant when we could describe extensively the issue and show proof of purchase less than two weeks ago.The only correct solution would be to immediately send us a new base, because this was ridiculous and frustrating beyond comprehension

The no-brainer baby purchase for when you lose brain capacity when the baby is born.
Yes. Just, yes. This is the ultimate in baby gear. Some people might be hesitant because they ask themselves questions like "what if my baby doesn't like it?" or "what if they prefer a bouncer?", but there is no need to ask yourself these questions in regards to the mamaRoo. There is a higher variety of motions and speeds to choose for your picky baby than buying separate swings/bouncers/rockers. YOU CAN CONTROL IT FROM YOUR PHONE. So when you're laying on the couch just pretending to be re-energizing and that baby starts fussing, you can pick your phone up and turn up the speed or change the song or switch motions WITHOUT HAVING TO ACTUALLY MOVE YOUR EXHAUSTED BODY. Technology, people! Just embrace it.

Taking back my 5 Star review ....
For being so expensive this swing is CHEAP. The first one arrived put it together and the base was broken... sound and light but no movement, screen was cracked. Assumed it just got damaged in packaging/shipping, no problem, requested a replacement. Second one comes in, everything is good to go. My baby isn’t even a month old and it just stopped working. Light comes on, sound works ... no movement. For $200+ you would expect a more solid piece of equipment but it is 100% lightweight plastic and maybe I’ve just had bad luck but not at all worth the money in my opinion.

Cool, but just doesn't work for us
I have 4 kids, and decided to try a fancier swing for my fourth child. Here's how it went...What I liked:1. It is easily portable around my home. Its not heavy or bulky, so it can be moved easily from room to room.2. Clean, minimalist design. I like the muted colors and clean lines.3. Multiple functions - different movement settings, various sounds.4. White noise drowns out my other kids making noise.5. You can change the angle of the seat from more upright to laying flat. What I didn't like:1. My baby does not like it. She will not sleep in this. It doesn't have that small jolt that a back and forth or side to side swing has. This swing is so smooth, it just doesn't give her that rock that she needs to calm down and fall asleep. In fact, she often looks scared or like she has motion sickness when we turn on the movement even at low settings.2. The toys are easily removable, so I spend way more time than necessary stopping my other kids from removing them and toting them around the house, or picking them up off the floor after I bump them when I set her in the swing. In the end, this has become a VERY expensive seat for my child to just sit in in our kitchen while I cook. We don't use the movement or sound function any more after trying to get her to like it for the last 2 months. I ended up purchasing a simple back and forth swing and have gotten a great nap out of her for the last week!

The ONLY reason I got rest during our stay in the NICU and then at home...
So I went back and forth with whether or not to splurge and spend the money on this item. It had a lot of mixed reviews, and even a couple of my friends who had recently had babies said they never used there’s. BUT then my son ended up staying in the NICU for 2 weeks and 2 days. And the hospital’s NICU had a dozen Mamaroos for parents to use on their infants during their stay if they just wanted to be held all the time. (My son being one of those babies.) So I figured I would give one a shot, and OMG!!!! That thing was the ONLY reason his dad and I got any rest while we were there. And since being home now, it’s still the ONLY way he will go to sleep and stay asleep for any length of time. I have actually been able to shower, clean my house, help out our other kids with homework, and if/when the dog barks at the mailman or whatever, he doesn’t even flinch. God Bless whoever created this wonderful thing.I also LOVE the fact that we can control it with our phones. (As does my fiancé who is a techie.) And it’s so easy to assemble, clean, and use. The only thing I would say is that I wish the mobile moved on it’s own, but we have a travel mobile that he loves so it’s no biggie really.

Not worth the price
Expensive, loud, and outdated tech. For that price i was expecting the most hi tech baby swing. I've heard industrial motors make less noise than the one this swing has. It has the useless kind of Bluetooth that can make calls but not play music. The Bluetooth is only to control from a distance but not to play music. You have to plug using a 3.5 mm jack to play music which is pretty stupid for a couple hundred dollar swing in 2019. The price is not justified by what you get.

J’adore

Awesome product
Love it. We didnt use the music or sound features on our at all. We also didn't use the smart phone app either. It's nice to have a product that works without needing the app. We basically only ran ours on the highest speed because that's what our babe liked. It was easy to assemble and worked perfectly. The arm swings to the side while loading baby in or out. The seat cover comes off easy for washing. The only thing I would change is have some different attachments for the arm that hangs above baby.

Makes a weird noise but can be Managed without turning on
We got this for our daughter in June. Opened the box in July and she wasn’t a fan. It has the weird noise whenever the seat moves and it’s just distracting and makes it feel like she can fall off it.We stopped using it and then tried again last month but without turning it on. We just keep her buckled in when we need to do something quick.Tonight, we tried turning it on and that loud weird noise again - this is what prompted me to write this review. It’s such an expensive product to be experiencing such from it.

Please do not buy. Mom of 6
This is so cheap. Spent over $360.00. Worst product ever. Will contact better business bureau. If product sold for under 70 dollars Canadian then maybe
