Use in the hot tub
Some people use this as an insecticide, I use it to help buffer upward pH swings in a hot tub. The one pound bag provides plenty enough for my hot tub over several fill/drain/fill cycles, and the granulated form fo this product dissolves into water far better than the powdered forms of boric acid that tend to just float on the surface and resist going into solution. It's effective for my use.

Works well to kill roaches
I bought this in a jar from a drug store when I moved into my cousins apartment 45 years ago because there were roaches coming through the adjacent sink plumbing from the neighbors apartment. I had read it was great for that, besides using as an eyewash, and it worked well. When we moved here, and I bought a large cabinet to store our trash in until we take it to the dump, we started getting large bugs in the cabinet after a while. I bought this, spread it around the outside and inside and no more problems.

Boric Acid granules
I was pleased with how fast the package arrived. I was planning to use this product to mix a little with sterile water to make an eye wash for "pink eye" however, now I don't know if I can use it for that. On the package it clearly says not to put it in your eyes. I was under the impression that it could be used for making up a diluted solution to use as an eye wash. Back in the 50s and 60s we could buy boric acid in a liquid solution that came in a dark bottle (like hydrogen peroxide) and mix it 50/50 with sterile water. It was great for eye infections and we cured many through its use. It was also a good disinfectant for cuts and infection. Now I can't find it anywhere except in granules and it is used as a rat poison. I will have to research it more before I use it in my eyes. I do have rats around so maybe they will get it.

Great for pest control
This stuff works so great, and this is not me being nice I has a really bad ant problem mixed some of this with sugar water and cotton balls a few days later my ant problem has completely disappeared. I also noticed a rat in my backyard coming from a hole and eating the food we leave out for the squirrels we mixed some of this with some peanut butter and put it in the whole we noticed it was coming from so the squirrels wouldn’t eat it & we haven’t seen it since. This is a very good pest controller I haven’t used it for anything but that I’m pretty confident it’ll take care of roaches as well but I don’t know that one I never got a chance to give them to someone I know who had that issue before they abandoned the place. 10s across the board
