Good fan for small /mid sized rooms

I like the fan but fan swings is not working

It produces a very strong column of air, at some noise but that is rather inevitable.The 1 setting is quite strong and the 2 is very strong.I should have got something like this sooner with my flat being so hot in the summer (it reached 40c last summer).I got a spray bottle to wet myself and that is very cooling with the fan on you.1* for remote is irrelevant.

This Geepas Oscillating Tower Fan has an unusual design for this style of floor fan because instead of the usual tubular 'tangential' fan that sits in the upper section there's really nothing in the upper section here and all the mechanics are in the bulbous section at the bottom. There's a good-sized radial fan in the base that draws in air from the side and then it's channelled up into the upper section and out of the grille on the front - and it works! It actually works very well and there's a good even flow of air that creates a nice breeze across a room and it's a bit quieter than many tangential fans.The oscillating feature is quite effective and makes a slow sweep back and forth but it pauses too long at the extremes before changing direction and sweeping back again, it's like it's forgotten what to do next. The mains cable is attached to the moving upper part of the fan and not the static foot it sits on, so you have to allow room in behind for the cable to move freely while it's oscillating. You get three different fan speeds and you can choose each with or without the oscillating feature but there's no built-in timer function to switch it off after a set time, which is a shame. That aside it's a really effective fan that actually looks pretty good too, more stylish than most of the others.

This is by far the best fan I have bought and beleive me i have bought a few.It's so quiet,So smooth,No nasty noises,Blows really effectively even from across the room.Highly recommended.

Only purchased this based of the great reviews, in reality... actually quiet disappointed.Fan is small the length and height is not the entire fan, sounds is pretty quiet but you can still hear. It's not that powerful as well. I want to return it
