Lucky Leopards
This is a very good book with many different types of non-fiction storys about three different types of animals that have been hurt. The first animal has to do with the Indonesian Rain Forest, the second has to do with the ocean, and I think third animal has to do with a marsh. But you have to read the book what I am talking about. Sincerely,Tomas

Perfect for preschool
My 4 year old can’t get enough of the National Geo books - and it doesn’t hurt my trivia knowledge either! Great for night reading before bed!

Three Great Stories of Rescuing Animals
I found Lucky Leopards at a local bookfest, and when I saw it was about animal rescue stories I just had to pick it up. I'm so glad to see rescue stories being written for children, so they learn early about how important it is to help animals in need. These three stories about a leopard, a sea turtle, and loons are engaging and educational. Each story has facts about the animals and photos. The pages are colorful and the print is easy for children to read. As I read each story I thought to myself, this one will be my favorite. I was so touched by the commitment of the people who cared about the animals they rescued and the lengths they went to to save and rehabilitate them. I was especially delighted by the third story - The Lone Loon, which took place in my neck of the woods in NNY. The rescuers? The author and her husband! I am looking forward to sharing these stories with my grandchildren, and using them as a tool to reinforce their love of animals and their need to care for them, whether domestic or wild.

Great book!
I read this book ( just the first few pages of the clouded leopard chapter)and at first I thought it was a little boring to me. But I read some of it and it was more interesting! The leopards kinda had a big adventure. With the turtle one it was interesting on the first page. Now the loon one was a little dramatic and gross but the author was in it. So if she wasn't in it I wouldn't have gave this book 5 stars it would've been only 4 stars because I was a little grossed out about the loon one but over all it was a good book!

Wonderful chapter book series.
Lucky Leopards focuses on efforts to rescue injured or lost animals. There are three stories contained in the book, one about two clouded leopard cubs taken from their mother by someone looking to make money from them, one about a stranded turtle, and one about a loon tangled in fishing line. The stories are interesting and informative with sidebars that explain more about the animals and their current environmental status. I appreciate how they show the difference that can be made in the lives of these animals. The book is colorful with a child-friendly design. The book includes an index, additional resources, and difficult word pronunciations.
